have to admit he does make me laugh i love him ....
right scratchies done 50p today wow i was impressed have done my first quidco clicks as well ...have figured it out with quidco i think (i know i am sad) if i do all my clicks from one comp then i only get two awarded so i have to continue to do hubby's downstairs and mine on the lappy so that i get the four a day ...nothing happening at the banks today so far so nothing to report there either ....
hubbys bro/friend came over last night but we had a whole house of visitors in so he didnt ask me for a session ...which was fine by me as he was in a weird mood.... he did feel it was ok to bring up the fact that he spoke to his friend when he went in and his friend said oh you shouldve said my sister does that she wouldve given you a reiki treatment for free ...to which i replied oh that's good there you go you can save yourself money ...my friend (the one that gave me a massage ) said ...well i have had reiki from el and ihave had reiki from other people and maybe its because el is my friend but i like her treatment best ...and her price is cheaper i paid £55 before el was qualified for the same thing ...to which hubby's bro/friend said yeah el is good ...and i thought i aint getting into this he doesnt want to pay then let him go elsewhere ...so just said well maybe you should try your friends sister if she will give you a treatment for free it will let you compare etc and promptly changed the subject ...jeez you would think i had taken the last of his money the other night so not worth it ...but you know what it totally changed my opinion of charging he solved the subject of wavering for me i dont think i will ever do another freebie...i am a bit like that a stubborn a$$ i just dig my heels in deeper ...
anyhoo no more plans for the day yet so gonna go get myself sorted will report backlater ...should really get off my blogside shouldnt i0 -
Thats good that you're firm on charging now .... when you develop as a person, you know, not everyone wants to come with you. Some will stay with you even tho they don't like what you're doing, and some fall by the wayside. But your sig says it - "to my own self be true".
Although I'm a counsellor, not a reiki person, there are so many volunteer counsellors out there that when I started out, I had to struggle with the same sort of issue. What it boils down to is this - I'm charging for my time, and for my professionalism, same as any professional. If someone wants to give me grief because of that, they're welcome to go elsewhere, its not worth the trouble to struggle with them - exactly what you did! Good for you!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I totally agree with KC in all the above...have a good day x0

cheers ...i do live by the to my own self be true rule ...and i know i was just trying to be nice before doing treatments for free cause i was getting practise etc ...but i am actually good at what i do ...and i think for me to go back on these new changes i have decided on would in fact be me not being true to myself ...and yes kc you are right when we do change things others either have to get with the game or not ...their choice not mine ...i have made mine ...
right rest of day ...went to visit a friend for an hour we chatted it was ok we havnt caught up for ages so it was nice to do that ...nothing much else happened really ...had a boring day for a change ...lovely

Hi el - hope your shoulder clears up. I managed to pull my back the day before the perm job interview and my long drive down south. I was really worried it would hurt all the way down. Luckily it sorted itself out - hope you find it resolves quickly too!
There's a book I think called "co-dependent no more" - sometimes we encourage people to stay in "rescue me" mould too long by attempting to rescue them rather than encouraging them to rescue themselves... The concept is that we are as addicted to helping the other person as they potentially are to needing help or whatever form their addiction takes... Just a thought...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

hey saving was quite literally just thinking of you there ... how are you ?
i think it is true that there are some people that are like that ... dont think i am though (but hey you never know) i tend to honestly prefer it if people dont need help ...i am a recluse that likes nothing other than to be left alone just hubby and i ...i just see or are told (by the people themselves) that they are struggling with something and i have the ability to help them out so with the generous side of my nature i feel well that is something i can do so i tend to do it ...not to score browine points or anything ...but because i am in a position to help and i dont like to see people suffer...and i want to go back to being a recluse (but dont want to feel guilty at not helping someone when i was in a position to be able to ...totally selfish me lol) ...but i think i am getting on top of it now ...with the situation that i was placed into ..(it wasnt of my choosing this time ) i did what i did previously with the "friend" (who by the way i have barely heard from since... except when she has wanted something...somethings i agreed to most i didnt) and i looked at the bigger picture ...because this one was about our son it was much more closer to home ...i think i have it licked with all the other areas (strangers aquaintances friends etc) but i think son and hubby will always have that something rescue hold over me ...and in a way that is ok ...as long as i am aware of it and only do things which i feel are right for myself as well as for them...it has deff been a huge learning experiance ...one i have no doubt i will revisit often throughout my life but i think it will get easier as well (hope)0
