Me too I blame the weather, well I am off to bed nothing on tv, my wedding album arrived today so I am off to get in bed and look at that for the 50th time can't wait to take it into work tomorrow, night all

Hi I have been lurking here for the past couple of months but haven't posted yet, just wondering if anyone tests before there AF due or does everyone wait until they are late? Only asking because I know what I should do but hearing it from other people might help!!

hi how is everyone?? I too have been reading for a while, now I've decided to post as I need some desperate advice as I am starting to panic already, I know I'm stupid bt I'm so worried.

I've just starting using those ovulation sticks, the cheapy ones from ebay, to test when is the best sort of time to try and start making babies..... but I did a test on 12th day and there were 2 lines but it was too light to be a positive, have tested on day 13 and twicce on day 14 and nothing.... no second line at all. I know its early days but the tests are supposed to tell me that I'm likely to ovulate within the next 36 hours but according to my body I'm not going to...... although from what I've read ovulation is between roughly day12 to day 18 ish give or take.... So I don't understand why nothing is coming up. Someone please help am going crazy already.

Astro - I uderstand what you're saying! Gosh how confusing! I guess counting the number of weeks from conception is more accuarte, but if the doctors count from the first day of your last period, I suppose it's best to go along with them!

Laura - Good luck for the blood tests tomorrow. I'm not a huge fan of needles so I find not looking at the needle beforehand helps. Plus talking about something random takes my mind of it lol

1more - Good luck for your poas on Friday. You say you're "ss like mad". What does that mean pls?

Twinklie - I hope OH's first week goes well. Before you know it, it will be the Xmas hols!

Jenny - I'm happy your second day back went well. I guess it's best to take one day at a time - and it will soon be the weekend

Nic - Do you do the temping as well as the OV sticks. I didn't know you can get ov pains as well. I don't think I've ever had those! Sending lots of OV vibes your way for next month

Hobo - Sorry love I can't help. I'm still classing myself as a newbie. Although I would prob say its best to wait until the day or the day after AF is due. Easier said than done I'm sure!!

Missy - One of the ladies will be able to give you advice. What CD day are you on - is it worth still trying for the next few days? Sending OV vibes your way too

I have another question . So you have your ovulation/fertility days which give you the best chance to conceive. But once these days are over, do you still actively BD until AF arrives, or is there no chance once you have passed ovulation stage. Just want to make sure I don't wear DH out in the first month :eek:. Currently on CD13, so I'm kind of in the right time lol

Missy, how long are your cycles normally, do you know? if you have a longer cycle you may be too early - I know for me, the lines got darker for about 3 days before I got a positive.

Even in a 28 day cycle, you might not ovulate until day 18, and if your cycle is longer it could be even later so please don't panic.

Sammy, it's reckoned the egg lives for a max of about 48 hours after ovulation, probably a little less in most cases, and the ov sticks normally show a surge for me the day before or the day of ovulation. Once you know OV is past completely then there is no need to BD, well, except for fun of course"

Sorry I can't be any more help! Maybe your cycle ovulates earlier, so your peak date could have been the day before you started using the sticks. Sods law and all that lol. I would still use the sticks even if OH is away, then at least you would have a idea of your peak date if it does happen?

How long have you been ttc?

Thank you! I think I will get some of the sticks for next month if nothing happens this month. I'm playing a bit of a guessing game with my ovulation really!!!!

Sammy i try and bd as much as poss!:rotfl: well i dont use the ov sticks or anything so i kinda guess when i am so try to do whenever so i hopefully do it when i am ov but at the moment it hard to tell when i will ov as havnt had a prober period since my mc.

hobo i usually wait a couple of days after my af is due as i didnt want to waste any test in case they were negative but pg test can be used 4 day before your period is due, so up 2 now when you test!Good luck, hope you get the answer you want!
