just popping in to say thanks to all of you for your kind words and support. still feeling low but in the process of giving myself a stern talking to to get myself out of this slump.

I'm naturally a pessimist (a self-preservation mechanism I suppose) and always think the worst.

Becs thanks for your post and yes you're right, I can't keep dwelling on the past, what's the point, there's nothing that I can do about it (my dad is always telling me this) and I totally admire Catwoman and you other ladies for suffering two mc and managing to put it behind you and carry on. I will get there. I'm going to try some of this PMA I hear you all talk about.
I will still go to my appointment on Tuesday (thanks Elliebobs) but will try not to get hung up on what the outcome is.

finally, I think I need a good night out so going to give my 3 sisters a call and get them to come and stay with their partners and go out on the town with them and my DH

    onwards and upwards

again, thank you all so much
  • Congrats Katy :j Really hoping that the same happens to me

No sign of AF but she not due till sunday but had slight cramps yesterday but all gone. I was dreaming of presenting everyone with scan photos as xmas pressies so praying she does stay away.

Hugs to those that need them and sticky baby dust to all xxx

  • Hi guys - hope you dont mind if I join your thread.

I'm 36 and have recently started trying for our first baby.

Been feeling really nauseous the last few days and did have sex at my so-called most fertile time this month.

Did an Early Response test just now and it was neg. Period is due next Tues/Weds so will obviously test again if that doesn't show up (I'm very regular with a 28 day cycle), but feeling a bit down in the dumps about it.

I know I'm being silly, but hey I'm new to all this!

Hoping my age isn't going to count against me too much either.

You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
  • ...btw I dont know what all the abbreviations mean :o

Is there a handy guide anywhere?

hi ali how are you feeling today? hope your keeping well :-)
hope everyone had a nice evening.
One more day at work then its half term!woo

I'm not too bad thanks Laura, had my hair cut this morning (appointment was booked weeks ago - almost completely forgot!) which gave me a bit of a lift and popped to the library. Been signed off work next week so wanted plenty of reading material to keep me occupied. I love having a pile of books to work my way through!

Ali, did you get anti-D injections with your first pregnancy?

This is going to sound ridiculous but I can't remember! My DS is almost 8 and it seems like a lifetime ago. I've got to go back to the early pregnancy unit for a scan on Monday (to make sure everything has gone - I don't think it has :() so will make sure I ask about it then.

Welcome Metranil - I didn't know what all the abbreviations meant so am glad you asked the question :T I'm 36 too. My former boss had her first baby last year at 41 so I certainly don't think we're too old!

Katy - Congratulations! Isn't it brilliant seeing that 2nd line?

Rik - Hope you're OK xxxxx

Babydust & love to all xxxx
