Morning everyone. How is everyone today?
I've got a day off today, was going to to go swimming but not sure i feel comfortable in doing it, scared somethings going to happen whilst in the pool!
Hayley11- Hello and welcome. I havnt been on here long and everyone is sooooo nice:D wishing you all the best for BFP!
Jennyfleur77 glad your doctor has signed you off work, i really did need time off it really did help. You will have days where you just feel like crying, then some days you feel your are finally moving forward but then there will be steps back. Takes time!0 -
Morning
AF arrived this morning so all that discussion last night about early testing was for reference for another month!
Actually feel totally okay, even pleased. Wasn't due til at least Saturday but her arriving early means she'll have sodded off again for the weddingAlso means I can drink lots of booze and, er, enjoy my new husband in a very energetic manner without worrying about hurting anyone
How's everyone else today?
xxxUpdating soon...0 -
I also liked Ava but DH refused that one point blank LOL....
He's got a family name which is given as a middle name to all their kids but I really hate it, so I've relented and said he can have it with one son LOLWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Morning all
Courgette - thats kinda good that the witch has appeared and you're not stressing on Saturday about her appearance.
I'm about to hop into the shower and get myself ready for the day. I volunteer at the CAB on a Wednesday afternoon, then I'll be back to crack on with some studying.
Have a lovely day ladies xx0 -
Hi again - been trying to catch up, but you've all been so chatty... I'm sure I've missed loads....
jennyfleur - I'm so sorry to hear about what you've been going through. The only advice I can give is to try not to think of being more emotional this week as a step backwards, but to think of it as a progression through all the different emotions. Once the bleeding stops, there isn't quite that constant reminder of what has happened. Hopefully gradually you'll start to feel calmer and the gaps between the meltdowns start to get longer. If you're anything like me, you can be feeling fine for ages (like a whole day...) and then something totally random can just catch you off guard, and you're off again. But I'm finding it's getting a bit easier slowly, so I hope it will for you too. As to when to start again, you get different advice according to who you talk to, but the most important thing is when you feel ready, either mentally or physically. The first time, I was very anaemic afterwards, so waited a month for my body to get better and my iron levels to get back up again. The second time, we were going to wait a month again, this time more for mental reasons, as we were both knocked sideways by it happening again. Got a bit carried away though when DH got back from a long work trip, so we'll see...
rik - big hugs to help you get through this weekend... and good luck with your tests next week.
CAFC - huge congratulations - and fingers crossed that everything continues to go well - I'll be thinking of you.
courgette - glad to hear that you know where you are in terms of AF - you can relax now and have a totally wonderful day! It's our 2nd wedding anniversary coming up in a couple of days, and the time has just flown by. We're planning a romantic evening in front of the fire, looking at our photos. That reminds me though - still haven't made an album for my parents, so had better get a move on!
We haven't had any discussions about baby names, and I think we'd find it almost impossible to agree on anything. Takes us ages to even choose something basic like curtains, let alone anything this important.... What a coincidence though - confuzzled - you have the same favourite names as me - Isla May. Isla because we love visiting Scotland - wish I lived closer - and my surname is a Scottish clan. May was my grandma's middle name - she didn't like her first name, so I couldn't choose that.
Not sure what's going on here at the moment - 5 weeks since the start of my mc, may have ov'd 18 days ago (going by EWCM), bad cramps about a week ago, so was sure AF was about to arrive, but nothing yet. No symptoms whatsoever, apart from being totally knackered, but that may be due more to having driving over 800 miles between Thursday and Sunday last week - to the Midlands and back for work, then Cornwall and back for a wedding.
Big hugs all round....0 -
Hey Courgette!! Get that drinking hat out!!! Now you can go off and have the best honeymoon ever!! And you can look back on the honeymoon and just remember it for the time you spent with your new hubby, without any other thoughts clouding the memory!! Plus you can have a good old practise session!! Really pleased for you hun, I think it was nice of AF to show up this early, get it out of the way!! Not long to go now, have you reached the ridiculously calm stage yet! That one really freaked me out, but apparently its quite normal!! x
Hi Lauralou, its really wierd isn't it, one minute you are totally fine and the next your a blubbering mess! Today i'm the latter!! Crap! Swimming sounds good though, don't feel self concious though, the pool will be full of old people and young mums anyway, no-ones there auditioning for baywatch!! Think maybe I should do some exercise!!
I love Ava as a name and Isla, all these sort of names are really coming back, my sis-in-law has just had a baby girl called Esme, Evie is very cute too! But there are alreadt 4 children in our family with names starting with E so think we'll stay clear!! It'd confuse the grandparents way too much!
Hope everyone is ok this morning xxxxxMarried June 26th 2009

Totally! My hubby was driving the other day while I was trying to write a card and it was so bumpy on the road that my pen was going everywhere! I completely broke down, very irrational! Think your right about the crying being the next stage though, that makes alot of sense, so glad I've found this forum, its helping loads just knwoing that others are going through similar things, although I really wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy, but maybe I can help someone else get through it one day!
I can't imagine how it must have felt a 2nd time, thats so awful for you, were they both around the same sort of times, and did you have to have the op both times, hope you don't mind me asking xxxxMarried June 26th 2009

Hi jennyfleur i totally agree with what astro_k said when the bleeding stop you feel like you can move forward as there isnt a reminder off what happen, it's like one tiny tiny step forward.
