Why are their always cute babies around, especially in 2ww?!!

I'm back from my holiday, had a bit of a stressful time to be honest - OH got flu, which he then passed to me. As soon as I shook that morning sickness arrived, then I got such bad food poisoning that I ended up in hospital on out last day hooked up to an IV. How is everyone here doing?

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

You poor thing, hope you're feeling better now.
  • Oooh Smartie12 those bracelets are soooo cute - i would love one but couldn't have one as i'd be trying to eat it all the time...especially as i am eating everything in sight to keep the morning sickness at bay :(

  • Feeling a bit better now thanks ladies - still not perfect though, still on anti nausea drugs. Problem is I can't tell if the nausea I still have is morning sickness or remnants of food poisoning.

On the plus side they were worried about bubs, and the (male) doctos didn't believe me that it was possible to have a MC then get pregnant straight away, so I got an early ultrasound. Slightly too early for heartbeat, but saw yolk sak and everything looked bang on for my dates which was a relief. got an appointment with my GP tomorrow.

All I can say is - thank god for travel insurance!
  • Hi scotsgirl, i also have my first gp apt tomorrow - they'll go through and check the records no doubt and have a chat about that which is the bit i hate remembering.

    How far are you?

I have just hit 6w3 but still not accepting myself as ok until week 12 - too much pain in the past and i really don't want to get too upset this time if i MC again. So being tough on myself!

Did you have the nausea before last time round? It apparently is a 'good' sign that everything is going well, albeit a horrible one to deal with. I'm getting frustrated as i have just a tiny bit of nausea which i was really really ill with my DD. But that could be the fact that i am stuffing myself with food in the hopes to keep it at bay - i'm just hoping that's the only reason

I hope the rest of you ladies don't mind me sticking around for a bit - not really ready for the pregnancy boards just this early yet. I'm trying not to post too much as i know you probable don't want to hear it all when you are TTC.

  • Hi Ladies

Haven't posted for a month as have been so busy (not just bding!!). Anyway I think AF is due but no sign as yet (came off pill few months ago so not sure) so thinking of testing and went into Boots and there are FR pgt and opk on BOGOF!! So four tests for £10!! Hope this is useful for someone.

May test later on as going on a long weekend away and want to know whether to risk a beer or not.

    Good luck all

I'm off work sicky sick and have been since Tuesday. I'm well bored now though. Want to go back. Decided to have today off because it gives me 3 extra including the weekend so hopefully I'll be sorted by the time I get back on Monday (fingers crossed).
Sorry it's a mixed bag of luck on here. x

  • Hi ellie

I'm 6+2 today, didn't have much nausea last time, so hoping it's a good sign. Temperature was thru the floor this morning, but I'm hoping that's more to do with the temperature change from vegas to my freezing cold house rather than anything sinister.

having said that, one of OHs friends is about ready to pop and has had no nausea or sickness whatsoever. I'm not jealous.......yeah right.

hope everything goes well for you today.
  • Ok here goes......Im probably reading too much into this but Ill carry on. Since April Ive stopped taking the Pill and my cycle has lasted 22 days each and every month since April. Well Im 3 days late this month so I decided to do one of those little stick tests (I bought them and some ovulation sticks off eBay) and it came up positive - I was wondering how accurate these really are?? Im also tempted to do a 'proper' test later today. Could this be a false dawn with the stick test or are they pretty reliable??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :o

Oh thank the lord! Someone in exactly the same boat as me. Long story short, only been trying short time - AF didn't come as thought it was due to coming off pill - had period pains last couple days, or at least I thought - so didn't bother with test. Felt bit sick yesterday but put it down to having headache and feeling drained - felt sick again today so did ebay test like 30 mins ago (which have used before and always showed negative) and it showed as BFP! I don't know how to feel! I rang my nana bless and she is so pleased, she knew we were trying but same as you I don't know how reliable they are?

Any help guys? I am sooo excited!

    xxxxx

Congratulations, I'd say it's a definite bfp2.gif, my cheapy Ebay ones were very faint (did 3 over 3 days to convince myself), if you're still unsure though, try a brand name one - I used the clear blue digital as it has a conception indicator!
