Currently watching This Morning while I'm knitting up my first big project and I had to put my needles down and grab the tissues.

What project are you working on (I'm a knitter myself, so am always nosy about what other people are doing - there's a website called ravelry.com that you can list all your projects/yarns etc on - not to mention a huge pattern database!)

I didn't see the story (at work) on This Morning but it sounds horrific, I think I'd be sobbing uncontrollably too.
  • Hi ladies I need more help sorry!! I did a OV test this morning and it was darker than yesterdays line but not dark enough to be a posotive, I have done a test this afternoon and this was lighter than this morning, I have still not had a line darker than the test line but I have had lots of light lines so confused  do you think im still due to get it or do you think I have OV already im on CD17, so sorry if that confuses anyone else!!

having a bad week, found out OH cousin started trying and they got thier BFP first month of trying and 2 ladies at work have just announced their pregnancys today  I find it so hard I would have been due in a few weeks too

Hugs to all the ladies that need them :grouphug:
  • Just wanted to say hi Rik. I'm in a similar position to you. Had an early spontaneous miscarriage the first time but second tome went for 12 week scan to find baby had dies at 9 weeks. I went the route of taking tablets to induce me to pass the pregnancy as it seemed less risky than a D&C. Was a little traumatic as you had to use a bedpan. That was five weeks ago and still waiting for my first AF to appear since then.
Because of my age I have been referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic and should get the results of blood tests that were taking for genetics, a blood condition that causes the blood to go sticky and a few others I can't remember.
Been told to wait til after the appt before trying again and need to get over the last miscarriage as I had previously had a scan and seen the heartbeat.
Just very scared to go through the heartache of trying again if things go wrong. Maybe 1 more try after our appt.

Thanks for being lovely, everyone. It occured to me last night that it's only been about 7 weeks since the mc so of course there'll still be times when it's tough. Yesterday was especially tricky as I 'had' to start of new pill packet following pill free week. Also, I'm a teacher and although I knew one of our year11 students was pregnant I've not seen her since we got back from the hols and she's massive, must be coming up to due date. I don't teach her but it was such a massive shock seeing a pregnant school girl in a school uniform and realy unsettled me.

H2B knows that I'm finding really tough not ttc but we haven't had a chance to have a proper chat about it recently. I'm very much in two minds about ditching the pill before the wedding. Obviously on the one hand it is making me feel carp but then there's other things to consider. My dress is very slinky (and I'm not really :rotfl:) and has no room for bloating/water retention or any other hormone related swell. Also, I'd hate to have AF on our honeymoon. We've also got an all-inclusive hotel including free booze so I'd hate to not get my money's worth! I'd hate even more to not get my money's worth then get a BFN a couple of weeks later!

I keep telling myself that I've got the rest of this packet, then can run straight into the next one and before that one's finished we'll be ttc so it's really very very close.

To top things off though my boobs are ever so sore, I've had loads of cramping and I'm beyond exhausted. Just don't get what that's about
    Updating soon...

Just to keep you all updated, I tested this morning with fmu but it's a bfn ... no sign of af yet so will wait and see but will let you know if there's any change! Prob. tested too early  oh well, if this means my cycles are going up from 24-25 days it can only be a good thing really!

GL to all others in the 2ww and keep us all posted!

    Over and out.

  • Good morning all!

For those who don't know - I came off the pill over a month ago, AF showed as normal and then started TTC which is what I did 3.5 yrs ago with DD1 and I fell straight away. Of course I expected that to happen this time :-( but it didn't, so I am ok with that. AF didn't turn up this time (prob due to coming off pill and hormone changes as you ladies kindly pointed out as I am def not Pg). AF still isn't here and is now 1 week late so she may not turn up this month.
I have googled if you can still Ov when not getting AF and the answer is yes (thankfully). Last night I had 2 lots of shooting pains in my lower right ovary area. Was over in few seconds but happened twice in space of 30 mins. I was also burning up like a volcano! Sorry for ignorance as I have never had to look into this before, but is this a sign of Ov? I feel a bit uncomfortable in lower area this morning but not in pain.

Thanks all - this is a truly supportive forum xxx:T
  • I am thinking of buying a clear blue fertility monitor, can anyone tell me with the exception of the sticks is there anything else I need to buy.

    Thanks

It could be OV pain but I wouldn't have thought it likely, could be wrong though;) It could also be AF getting ready to rear her ugly head, especially if you're uncomfortable *down there*

With any luck AF will show for you so then you know where you're upto:)

From what the ladies on here have said it sounds like it is just the sticks you need....but not 100% sure:)

CD24/33ish for me(just realised it's the same as the date!) nothing to report apart from blimmin shattered, feels like groundhog day and I have enormous amounts of cm!!!
Oh and my keyboard keeps sticking:mad: So annoying!
