*Hugs* Tia and Glam and your poor sore fingers :(

I feel so bad for you both - my poor old dad has to test his blood every day and it's miserable.

My second Next order went through fine, although it's all "will be ordered in five days" which does not give me a lot of hope. Still, if one of the four pairs of trousers I ordered turns up, then I will be able to bridge the gap between mat pants and regular pants (or buying new pants!) and will not be risking arrest on public indecency charges.

All their baby stuff is now only available in tiny baby and up to 1 month options, so if anyone needs to stock up on very small stuff it's a good time now. Don't forget Quidco!

Call in pregnant? I'm not a fan of pretending pregnancy is a sickness, but it's a special occasion ;) And you're diabetic as well - it deserves one sick day I'm sure.

Edit: jillie, I'm in and out as I do householdy stuff, but I don't want to talk too much in case I'm boring people :o

I don't want to tarnish my fantastic sick record and also I don't get paid for being off sick. It's bit poop! I'll speak to OH later and see what he thinks.

Are there sessions they're open without you being there that you could switch with someone?

Sugar - I'm the manager so unfortuantely no!

MM - I was thinking that but they might ask for proof and it's short notice. I was with my boss on Friday so might look strange me asking for afternoon off to go esp when I'm having weds pm off to have scan and clinic appt!

I'd forgotten about the Next sale! I do have a spare hour now, but town looked chocka and I doubt they will have much neutral stuff in the sale so I might not bother.

Jenny- all the police officers I know with children either have one parent as a stay at home parent, use family for childcare or are both police officers, in which case it is possible for one to go down to four shifts on, six off so someone is always at home IYSWIM. I haven't had any success finding very flexible childcare round here, but I guess it does exist in most cases.

That is crap about the Paternity Leave. My hubby was doing training when we got married and he was only allowed seven days off, including the day of the wedding so we had to have our honeymoon at a later date. They are totally inflexible when it comes to training.
