I know the swine flu jab will be too late for some (as their edd is prior to oct / nov) but i wanted to post the link so that those that will be offered it later in the year can start to keeep an eye on news reports etc and start to discuss it with their oh / families as when the time comes i agree it will be a difficult decision to make:o Apologies if i caused any concern:o

I personally have reservations about my anti D injections since i found out they were a blood product but i have to have them.

Hello fitzillian - how is it going with your ex? last i heard he was going to stop making morgage payments - any updates? Sorry you have been feeling sick - have a dodgy hug :grouphug:

Sorry JHA, I was only saying I personally probably won't get it. I was grateful for the link though as wouldn't have seen it otherwise and I find all this stuff very interesting. Didn't mean to come across as dismissive.

Thanks everyone for your reassurance. This is my first BFP, so I had no idea what to expect!

Went to see the doctor this afternoon after speaking to her on the phone this morning - she told me to go in to see her. She was lovely. Going by my last period she thinks I'm 8+5, but given that I did negative tests at the weekend I don't think I'm as much as that. She's offered me a blood test to check levels of HCG and hopefully we'll get a better idea then. But for now, she's given us a due date of 18th March, but I think that's the earliest it could be.

She wanted to check that I wasn't feeling any pain as I mentioned when she called that I'd had pain on one side - she was concerned that it may be an ectopic pregnancy but after she examined me she said that she's satisfied it's not.

Came away with an appointment for a blood test on Monday, a midwife's appointment in a few weeks and a Bounty Bag with lots of bedtime reading. Everything happened so quickly, but hubby and I are ecstatic!

Ooh how lovely if you are that far along and have missed out loads of the worrying period!

What a good day I'm having, think the neighbors from hell are moving. I'm in a flat with two above me, it's not the flat directly above that is noisyit is the one above them feel sorry for them but it looks like the top flat could be moving as they have filled every bin with rubbish and have been in and out with stuff all day in the car. Quiet weekend hopefully and no boom boom boom boom boom boom all weekend:T:T

Also think the dog knows i'm pregnant too. When i sit on the floor he usually starts bouncing about wanting to play and at just under 50kg he's not delicate about it. but today he slapped his head on the floor next to me instead of his usual run up and head in my tummy.

Have started to sit the doll on the floor and geting the dogs to leave it and keep a wide circle from it when walking , so far only one hick up when they heard their dinner and they jumped the doll. solong as i don't leave the baby on the floor at dinnertime we are fine lol:rolleyes:

Just joined a couple of baby clubs had to guess the dates but i think it should be fine. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.

Well sat in the docs for 40 mins after work waiting for someone to read my test results and get a prescription. Now have to take amoxacillan for the next 7 days. Have never been so relieved to get some drugs from the doctors. Everytime the baby moves or i walk i get shooting pains internally. Not good at all.
  • 32b... what dog do you have?

mine weighed in at 33.5kg yesterday but is only 7 months... so could end up huge!

workinmummy, i always have amoxacillin cos i'm allergic to penicillin... (sp??)

Your doctors sounds as incompetent as mine, bet they don't have to wait all day for their results to be checked to get a prescription.

Glad you got your prescription WM. I started taking these for a UTI last Thursday and by Saturday night I felt tons better. It was honestly like someone flicked a switch and I suddenly felt normal again! Finished the course today, had my wee dipped at the nurse today and the infection is all gone. I didn't have to wait to have it diagnosed last week though- he just dipped a strip in my wee and then printed out the prescription.

BTW- I have Angel Delight. I can't remember who was talking about it earlier but I just has to get some when I went to Sainsburys today. Cost 32p + half pint of milk (we buy the 1% which is £1 for 4 pints) 12.5p= 44.5p for my pud. Now that is Economy Gastronomy and they should have had that on the programme last night!
