hey ladies, I'm going to log off here for tonight because I need to pack my computer :-). Heading over to the USA and not getting back 'til the end of the bank holiday, so I'll only be on sporadically for the next couple of weeks. Big labor vibes for those who need them, etc etc :D

Congratulations to all the new MTB.
I'm so jealous of you's and all your appointments with the doctors. I'm still playing the waiting game with the postman:mad: Just wish i at least had my bloods done to check they are OK at least(and i hate needles).

Theirs something comforting about having someone do those daft little tests and say everything is in order.

Bye aless hope you have a good flight and birthday (i think)

fitzio - how u feeling now?

I thought I'd missed something as well!!

Sorry I never got back on Glam - just posted and ran! Been tidying up tonight as, like you, I have visitors coming. It's a boys weekend at our house so expecting DH's friends tomorrow - 1 lives in Wales and 1 in England. They meet up 3 times a year, once at each others houses. It's our turn before the baby arrives! All done now, just waiting on a washing to finish.

I am feeling fine. I have been fine since Monday night, just the usual sore fingers and swollen ankles etc. but no pain. Work is really stressful. I only have 1 week left but tomorrow is my last day for hand over as guy taking over is on annual leave last week. We have soooo much to cover, but getting nowhere fast! Never mind, it won't be my problem.

Jillie - make sure and report back how you get on at Parentcraft class. Mine start on Tuesday and we are having to miss the football!!!
Like you, I am hoping it's not all young neds. Never mind if it is though - we don't have to befriend them I suppose, I am going in the hope of learning something.

Glad it's been quiet on here today - much easier to catch up!

    Night all. x

Posted a long one earlier but the puter ate it!

I packed my hospital bag a few weeks ago (is there a smug smilie?) Partly because I'd started piling things up in the corner of my bedroom that I would want to pack, and it looked tidier in a suitcase than just a heap on the floor, but also because I made the mistake of googling failure to gain weight in the last trimester, and it came up that this was one of about 7 indicators for premature labour, and I had another 3 of them . I still haven't put on any weight since being ill all those weeks ago, and I now at 33 weeks weigh about half a stone less than I did at 23 weeks. Given that I should have been putting on about a lb a week from week 28, I guess that means I'm actually losing weight and the baby is getting it all. We have an antenatal appt next week, and another scan which will hopefully show baby is growing well, and plan to ask the doctor then whether its anything to worry about.

Otherwise had a relatively uneventful day, apart from being within stick wielding range of a belligerent toddler with a huge heavy stick which he was swinging around to tease a dog with, with an alarming lack of control about a foot away from me while I was having a coffee outdoors in the park. When I asked his mum nicely if she could move him along a bit, she gave me a mouthful, and said if I was that risk averse I shouldn't go out anywhere in public . Hadn't appreciated that having a cup of coffee in the park was considered to be a particularly risky activity at nearly 8 months pregnant, and certainly have never had anyone swinging a large stick at my belly at any other point in my pregnancy, so didn't factor that into my risk assessment before I went out :rotfl: I honestly wonder about the example some women choose to set their children. This child now thinks not only that swinging a stick round a crowded environment when he could well hit and hurt someone and teasing an animal belonging to someone else is acceptable behaviour, but also that it is OK to be rude to another adult for a pleasant request.

Good luck for tomorrow to Suzy. Can't think of anyone else due labour vibes just at the moment, but hope everyone else is well.

    Morning all,

Jillie _ Good luck with parentclass – Hope it’s worthwhile
Nicky – Thanks. It really annoys me that some people don’t control their children. It’s like when you’re walking along the pavement, if we were all next to each other and people were walking towards us, I’d always say to my children to let the other people pass. No one seems to do it now a days their all ignorant!

All – Well today’s the day!! 41+12 days !! I have to ring the ward at 9:30 to see if there are any beds. So I won’t be back on now. Still no sign of the little one coming naturally although I have had mild pains all early evening they don’t go any further

I’m really hoping that I don’t end up waiting on a bed all day and then they insert the pessary late afternoon/evening and OH has to go home. – That would annoy me as I hate waiting and we want to be together.

Thank you for all your vibes!

I’ll let you all know as soon as I’m home.

(God I feel nervous – we know the pains got to come don’t we and it will all soon be over but it’s still nerve racking!)

    Take care all,

The woman with the longest pregnany ever,
    Manchester
