I'm going to pretend I'm just going on holiday for a week or so - otherwise I might get a bit upset when I go :o

OH said this morning 'Last time for at least 9 months you'll have to get up early for work' - yeah, in 4 weeks it'll be the baby waking me up and alot earlier!

You are so lucky i have been on freecycle since last year and have never got a thing!

Any recommendations for vitamins, not a vitamin person but I am struggling to eat anything and what i do eat is not very nutritious for me or baby. Not managing to keep most of it down during the day either, got the folic tablets but that's it. Are their any milk shake type things i could take.

There's a multivitamin called pregnacare which I've been taking - specially designed for pregnancy so nice to know it's what you need and nothing you shouldn't have too much of (e.g. vitamin A)

I need to get everything for free now, just found out OH is having his hours cut, will work out at either £30 or £60 less wage every week  Will change each week depending on how long he can keep the club open but will be at least £30 less each week. Really not the news we needed right now :(

i have looked on these 2 weeks as if they were holidays from work. next monday to me is 'mat leave'

my DH said that as well ...oooh plenty of lie-ins!! yeah right... if i dont get up to do things who will?? and lie-ins will certainly gone for us both when baby arrives. although he still thinks he'll be able to lie-in!

  • Nozza - I'm 5'9 and have the Dream Genii pillow and love it.

Hey all... can't believe am now almost 36 weeks! The birthing pool arrives next week!

Had a MW checkup on Wed and my notes say 3/5 relation to brim and a week ahead of dates on fundal height :D I know it doesn't mean that I'll be early but is still quite exciting (especially as 2 of my ante-natal classmates gave birth at 37 wks). When did any of you ladies engage with your first?

Ah Glam, I'm so Jealous. Got another 5 weeks if I go by my current date. I am going back on Monday since the Doc didn't say anything about seeing me again before I return, but I think I need to seriously consider whether I can work for another 5 weeks. I've quite liked being home the last couple of weeks, and everytime I try to do something like shopping or ironing I end up really tired.

I hope you have a wonderful lunch, and how lovely that you have been given presents for baby.

I finally tracked down the distributor for Tiny Love and the mobile I wanted has been delayed until October by them so no-one will have it. The older, more expensive, alternative has been discontinued so my only hope is ebay. I think I might wait til October as she will be in my room for first few months so would only really see the mobile if I took her in to change her or deliberately to see it. Trouble is they are great for getting babies to sleep and my friends little lad loves his. But they are only supposed to be used until baby is able to sit up, so for that £40-£50 is a lot of money.

Sarah, My midwife said that pregnacare can be got on prescription although my doc said it wasn't on his list so couldn't prescribe it. might be worth asking just in case. Failing that, the omega 3 ones (two tablets) are on offer in Tesco at mo. Shelf label said 3 for 2 at £9.63 each but I put one through the till and it came up at £6.63. Every little helps ;-)
