I know I'm not pregnant anymore but still lurk here sometimes...
Just wanted to say this is the moses basket I have, borrowed from my sister so I didn't buy it - and just as well as I'm not impressed.
Argh!!!! Maybe back to square one then! The hood thing is one of the faffy bits that annoys me about moses baskets and we'll probably get blackout blinds for the bedrooms anyway as we always have done because we're both quite light sleepers so that wouldn't annoy me but the elasticy thing might. I so don't want to (a) spend a fortune or (b) end up with something that will make me pwek every time I look at it!0 -
My HR advisor has now said they will pay a full days work unless notified to pay in hours by my boss, so basically it will be upto my boss what I get paid for the day and as I have a really nice boss I'm sure I can persuade her to pay me a full day, I'll still be doing little things at home for her anyway.

I am being paraniod, but you know when you worry for no reason? well cos my Morning sickness has gone (for now) its got me all worried lol and I am being stupid and thinking oh god my scan is on the 27th what if there is no baby there, what if I made a mistake and Im not really pregnant (which is stupid I did like 10 test and have missed 2 periods)
Will someone give me a virtual slap over the face please
SLAP!!!
It comes and goes, trust me! Give it a week and you'll be wishing it has gone again. Some people don't get any MS at all - every pg is different.
I've got it back again at 34 weeks having got rid at 16 weeks. Try not to worry hun, I know it's hard!
KIT DAYS - our payroll system allows you to pay the person for the hours they worked. i.e. if I came in and did 4 hours, I would be paid for 4 hours but it would count as a whole KIT day so I would have 9 left to take.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Kindofagirl, I think we've all been through this at some point. If we feel ok then something must be wrong! Its a natural. U hate feeling sick, but then long for it for reasurance. I'm sure everything will be ok and when you see the heartbeating at your scan, you will just melt.0 -
Just posted this on the parenting thread as i am still none the wiser despite looking on internet
"I am just popping over from the pregnancy thread - hope you dont mind:p as i have a question:
I would like to wear my baby using a wrap (not sling, or ring sling) from birth but am petrified about supporting head etc. Has anyone had their baby in a wrap from birth.?
Is it the cradle carry position you used / use?
I have tried looking on video demos but the all seem to be flinging dolls and teddies everywhere and are not filling me with confidence:eek::o
I have tried the threads on here to do with baby wearing and other sites and have no sling meets near me"
off to try and catch up

I had the same panic - with my 1st 3 the all day long ms did not stop until 8mths with dd1, 6 mths ds1 and 8 mths with dd2 this time it stopped at 12 wks and completly freaked me out
It is just part of being a mum/mum to be you will always find something to fret over - just relax - I am not going to give you a virtual slap - have a virtual hug instead
ok car is packed with duvets to be cleaned - I really need to move myself0 -
A friend of a friend has offered me her moses basket as her baby will be about 4 months when mine arrives so should just be out of it! I'm quite pleased as i wasn't going to bother (wasn't going to spend on something that would only last a few months and not be essential) but I do like the look of them so that will be nice. Very MSE too!! :money:
Is it nearly home time yet?! I'm bored at work now and at 26 degrees in my office it's too warm and stuffy. My feet feel too hot too cos I've got trainers on with my jeans today! Leaving in about half an hour though so I can go pick up my new office chair from a freecycler!! (I love freecycle - did I mention that already?!)

Virtual slap seems a little bit harsh so have some reassuring words instead!
I've got paranoid at every scan so far - am sure you'll be absolutely completely totally and utterly fine. No doubt even though am approaching the size of a house and can feel quite a bit of movement I will also be paranoid at the 28 scan and the 32 week scan too (they are extra to normal ones because of the dodgy blood test on the combined test).0 -
Kindof - we have all been there - i still cant get my head around the fact that i am pregnant sometimes:o Even being the size of a house with kicks at 19 weeks:eek::D - (no its not twins) you will have every worry going as i did as your pregnancy progresses - first where is my morning sickness / when will it stop / what is that funny bubbly feeling / then it will be i hope the baby is ok as it is quiet today etc etc - you dont need a slap just take these worries as they come and just think weve all been there - especially me:rotfl:
Sorry i havent been on much latley - finding this pregnancy a bit challenging (as everyone does i suppose) sorry if tmi been having shooting pains in my bits with swelling and stinging - not nice along with tightnings and stretching pains etc moan moan moan:rotfl:Someone on here prompted me to go to docs this morning by saying they had a uti and those shooting pains so thanks to you i got checked out (was it workingmummy?) They have sent some samples off but she thinks as the uti one is neg halfpint is kicking me in the bitsIts the first time i have had that fundal height thing done and the belly feel and she seems to think i am about 20 / 21 weeks so looks like ive been growing bump well over the last week or so:D
