I know the swine flu jab will be too late for some (as their edd is prior to oct / nov) but i wanted to post the link so that those that will be offered it later in the year can start to keeep an eye on news reports etc and start to discuss it with their oh / families as when the time comes i agree it will be a difficult decision to make:o Apologies if i caused any concern:o

I personally have reservations about my anti D injections since i found out they were a blood product but i have to have them.

Hello fitzillian - how is it going with your ex? last i heard he was going to stop making morgage payments - any updates? Sorry you have been feeling sick - have a dodgy hug :grouphug:

The midwife told me it is a blood product and with any blood product injection there are small risks:confused:

I am still going to get it though.
  • hiya... have you been on much?

been trying to apply for income support... now going smoothely, ended up with a new consultant at job centre who forgot to get me to sign the paperwork and i wasnt told half the stuff they wanted me to bring in.
but if i can get it, i can get the mortgage interest paid, as well as extending the mortgage term, will save a fortune.
can also spend a bit more time with the baby and the pressure wont be there to earn a fortune childminding before he's ready...

her ex told me today shes sold her car (he loved driving round town with the top down) - aparantly she only had 3/4 months payments left...

they were also seen around recently looking 'strained'... looks like she might be getting fed up with him... i cant imagine he was happy to have found out how much debt she has - his family are so anti-debt its an obsession.

and i'm definitely reverting back to my maiden name... and Alfie is going to have my name, not his.

My work have told me it's up to me and my boss what KIT days I have and my boss has said it would be nice for me to attend a few team meetings and conferences but will contact me first to see if I'm free so it could be quite last minute. Then we just have to let HR know when I'm doing a KIT day (or have done one) and they will put it through payroll. They also said I can do it in half days if I want :)
Sorry, still catching up in stages. Had visit and phone call since mum and dad left.

I think with the KIT days each day (hour/half day/whatever) counts as one day. So if you go in for a 2 hour meeting then go home again that counts as a KIT day. Its not 10 x 8 hours to be divided up however you like, its 10 separate days, regardless of how many hours you do in that day. God, that sounds really awkward, I hope you understand what I mean. This is a government thing too, so I'm guessing that rule would be nationwide and not just my company.

Thanks everyone for your reassurance. This is my first BFP, so I had no idea what to expect!

Went to see the doctor this afternoon after speaking to her on the phone this morning - she told me to go in to see her. She was lovely. Going by my last period she thinks I'm 8+5, but given that I did negative tests at the weekend I don't think I'm as much as that. She's offered me a blood test to check levels of HCG and hopefully we'll get a better idea then. But for now, she's given us a due date of 18th March, but I think that's the earliest it could be.

She wanted to check that I wasn't feeling any pain as I mentioned when she called that I'd had pain on one side - she was concerned that it may be an ectopic pregnancy but after she examined me she said that she's satisfied it's not.

Came away with an appointment for a blood test on Monday, a midwife's appointment in a few weeks and a Bounty Bag with lots of bedtime reading. Everything happened so quickly, but hubby and I are ecstatic!
