I need to explain to OH about second hand clothes, cos he really isnt keen but you can get some lovely bundles on ebay!

I dont know whether just to buy some and tell a small white lie about where they came from lol

We have lied to IL's about all the clothes we bought as they are right snobs! I just said, 'Oh, I've taken the tags off because you have to wash new clothes before baby can wear them' - they are none the wiser ;)
My family are proud that I've got so much stuff so the price I have :money:

Yep! I'm allergic to Trimethoprim so also get Nitrofuratoin for UTI's.
They also make your pee go flourescent yellow after a while!

Also, being pg makes you a bit constipated anyway - not that I've had that problem mines the opposite!!

Suzy - I see you lurking!
I mentioned a dr Seuss book last week for reading to bump, it came the other day and its quite sweet. Its nice for my OH to read as he doesnt have to think about what to say either so if he's feeling shy about talking to belly monkey he just has to read the book. Its on amazon, called 'oh baby the places you'll go. A story to read while in utero'
Thanks for this just ordered of amazon.. £4.26 inc delivery new and will be here tomorrow x

nanc - I don't really talk to bump. I always stroke my belly and occasionally will say things 'Oh, stop kicking me there' or 'Hey little dude! Calm down in there'
I told OH he should talk to bump more but he gets embarrassed but will if I force him to :p

The questions do your head in I know - if anyone else asks me how long I've got left or am I struggling I might scream! People are just trying to be nice and make conversation but don't think that you've already been asked that questions a million times. The classic one I got when we announced pregnancy to OH's work colleagues was 'Oh, have you stopped being sick yet?' I always said, 'I've felt sick but not been sick much' which shocked them all as they all thought morning sickness was just throwing up!

I've done nothing this year either - missed my sisters wedding in Spain :( so no holiday for me, when the sun was out over here I spent too much time worrying about burning and you can't sunbathe on your front either so a waste of time! Haven't been able to go to Alton Towers which we always do! Not had much alcohol and I now have OH and BIL together for the next few days who will get bladdered all the time and expect me to run around after them.

At least you've not got GD - my OH eats sweets, crisps, chocolate, ice-cream and always offers me them but I can't have them. I have great metabolism so always eat them when not pregnant no problem, I do keep thinking in 4 weeks I can eat what I want again but I don't resent being pregnant because what's 9 months of being good for the love a new baby will bring :A

Lol my OH's family are snobs like that and drive me nut's. They actually enjoy spending extra on something just to say they got it in a designer shop.

I am dreading telling my mum about the bump, last times she went mad and had the women in the charity shop call her when they got good stuff in. Can't complain we got some really good stuff for next to nothing some brand new. Not to mention the nursery that mum insisted on in her house. she even had 2 prams so i didn't need to bring one with me lol

Back from the dentist - nothing he can do for my gum pain apparently and also I shouldn't bother using the medicated mouthwash I've been using as it won't make any difference. Well it's actually the only thing that has made a difference! I can literally feel my gums being a bit less sore each time I use it and has on 2 occasions helped me get back to sleep when I've woken up in pain!

Don't think I'll bother with that dentist again!

I hate people asking me if I'm nervous about my wedding. They always look shocked when I reply "Not at all, i'm just really excited". Same with the questions about being pregnant, not had so many of them yet but sure they will come! One of my friends while over at ours on Sunday asked if being pregnant was doing my head in yet. Err no, but you are!!

Car boots are the place to go! I've got well over 300 items of clothing and have paid from 10p for vests and sleepsuits to 50p for larger items like jeans and dungarees. I have NEXT, Mothercare, ZARA and other good names along with George and Cherokee. Nothing is marked or stained and has all been washed ready for babies arrival.

We got our pram/pushchair off freecycle.

Got 2 bouncers, changing unit, play mat, play nest (like a inflatbale ring thing), spare car seat base, baby bath from car boot for around £25.

Only the cotbed is new and that was £205 down to £99 and MIL paid for that!

Xmas - it's such a struggle. I love having a big bowl of fruit and ice-cream while I'm watching big brother - every year I do this ritual! But am having to settle for sugar free jelly - and there's only so much jelly you can eat!
Even fruit I have to reduce portions and just have a handful of grapes or strawberries instead of half a punnet.

You guys have all got some right bargains! I have finally managed to get signed up to Freecycle so I'm going to be keeping an eye on there from now on.

You GD ladies should be proud of yourselves being so careful! I have been eating carp non-stop for the past few weeks. I KNOW I should be etaing healthily and I do mainly but the need for fast food has been taking over my brain!
