Harley i share your woes re. digital Tv. My naughty dog has chewed my Virgin wires outside so they're down to the bare threads, luckily it still works but i don't think it will for much longer!! IThey'll charge me loads to repair it, but i'm going to argue that she wouldn't have been able to had they fixed them tightly to the wall, but they were loose!

Is it something you could just wrap a bit of PTFE tape round? just to insulate them and make them safe. Then you could put the cable clips in yourself too depending on what the outside of the house is made of. Wouldn't try it on rendering but plain brickwork should be easy enough. Though, you are right, they should have fixed it securely in the first place. What if it had been a child playing with it, or a fox? Not something you could control if it was someone elses child or local wildlife.

Harley you are lucky to have started at 7 stone 7lb when you despise exercise!! Sounds like you have a great metabolism so I bet you bounce right back into shape!

    Thanks Glam and Harley

I smother my body and bump every day in oils and creams, I think because I now have this huge bump I feel weird although it actually looks nice, hubby said i looked cute in my bikini last night, but yes I'm so achy and have no energy just feel a bit poopy, and the constant questions from people is starting to anoy me..

We dont read to the baby yet I think I will try have seen a book on amazon I want to get, my sister talks to it everytime she sees baby and makes me feel a bit sad because I know it should be me.

Silly as it is I think losing the cat in the accident has been really really hard, phew just had a blub back now..

Plus the fact I have done nothing for myself this year, i cancelled my girly hol, and have done nothing, bought 2nd hand clothes to fit bump in, shopped around for best baby bargains, and am considering selling my beloved car. All the time hubby has drank all the way throughout at weekends and events and I've been his taxi driver, he has been on guys holiday, stag do's and just booked to go to the darts for a weekend in November. He knows how I feel about this, but ignores my plea to not drink at just one wedding or evening out.. I know I'm prob feeling a bit harsh, and feeling like a miserable cow when I mention it..

I hope so Sarah, I really do. I want to be back into my old clothes by Christmas. Not because I want to be that skinny again particularly, but because I'm too tight to spend money on clothes for me when baby will need so much. I'll be on half pay by end November too so there won't be any spare for luxuries. Though, I am lucky enough to live near the outlet stores at Clarkes Villiage so if I really need to get new clothes I should be able to do it fairly cheaply.

Last Christmas I spent a fortune in the sales on some gorgeous clothes, all in a size 6-8. I would like to be able to wear them as Iwon't get much for them on ebay. Mum bought me a Leather Jacket for xmas too, that I have been wanting for about 4 years. I can still get it on, I just can't do it up. That is a size 8, so I am fairly optimistic about shrinking back again.

Ah Nanc, sounds like he is just being a bit thoughtless. In my experience (admittedly mostly bad) most men are a bit like that.

How about telling him you are keeping track of all the things he is doing now and next year he is to pay you back by babysitting and being your taxi when you want to go out with the girls or have a haircut or even just go for a drive on your own. Make it more personal, ie you have this - I'll have that, and maybe he will start to be a bit more understanding.

We've all been buying second hand clothes, and my baby - and Glams, has tonnes that has been given to us. My bubs has one pram outfit bought by nanny, one coming home outfit bought by me (cos it's humphreys corner and I'm a pushover) and one little vest bought by my mate when I was having a crap day. Everything else has been given by very kind work mates and some of my Goddaughters nicer stuff. Along with the bath, car seat and base, carrier, car mirror, moses basket and god knows how many nappies and wipes, all donated by my best mate. Baby won't know any different, all she is interested in is if I feed her, cuddle her, love her and teach her right from wrong.

And I am the biggest snob in the world, if you had told me a year ago I would be wearing someone elses clothes I would have laughed in your face. We are just adapting to new circumstances.

Please don't beat yourself up over it, we are all in the same boat and happy to listen and give you another perspective at any time you need it.

    (((Hugs)))

Morning all, Hope everyone had a good night.
What are/did people use for morning sickness?
I have the constant feeling that i am about to be sick, and hating it.
I was recommended ginger in water or ginger biscuits neither helped before so I am open to ideas.

Labor vibes to all that want them.

The only thing that seems to work for me is sea sickness bands worn on the wrist (£8 from boots) and carbonated water

CSH - thanks for that, I thought it was part and parcel of it all cos at the 20 week scan they can tell if everthing (well most things) are ok, cant they?

Jolene - you will be fine :) is it your booking in appointment?

nancmat - I have gained 8 so far and I am 10 weeks!! I need to stop!

harley - I dont think you get FX cos my mate has freeview and she cant watch true blood

Morning all, well 30 weeks tomorrow its gone so quick.. really wished I could feel more for my bump, but I still dont feel like I'm bonding with the baby thought the 4d would help but it just made me feel sick.

I'm trying to eat lots more vegs etc now, but somehow the choc still sneaks in, oops. I've put on 20lb now.. friggg but still fit in most of my pre pregg clothes size 8/10, luckily I have a neat bump. Suffering with back ache more now..

I shouldnt worry to much chick i find it hard to bond with my bump too but it does all change once the little person is actually here. *I just cant talk to my bump i dont know why i feel a bit daft but the kids and my other half are always talking to him. I do play with him though when i rub my bio oil in he gives me a kick and i give him a poke and he follows my finger round my belly. :-)

Hope the rest of you ladies are feeling good today :-) xx

I got a gorgeous bundle of clothes off netmums last week, it worked out 23p an item and I got babygrows, dresses, snowsuits shoes etc. Pretty much everything she'll need for the first 6 months and all really good makes like next and mamas & papas. Its good because it displays things local to you so no high postage like ebay either.

I mentioned a dr Seuss book last week for reading to bump, it came the other day and its quite sweet. Its nice for my OH to read as he doesnt have to think about what to say either so if he's feeling shy about talking to belly monkey he just has to read the book. Its on amazon, called 'oh baby the places you'll go. A story to read while in utero'

Also on the travel bands front, poundland do a pack of two pairs for £1. They helped me a bit some days. I'll try to catch up properly tonight, I'm on my iphone on the bus to work now after my midwife appt. Everythings good at the minute, belly monkeys measuring spot on for dates even though everyone says I look massive so raspberrys to them!
