Morning all, well 30 weeks tomorrow its gone so quick.. really wished I could feel more for my bump, but I still dont feel like I'm bonding with the baby thought the 4d would help but it just made me feel sick.

I'm trying to eat lots more vegs etc now, but somehow the choc still sneaks in, oops. I've put on 20lb now.. friggg but still fit in most of my pre pregg clothes size 8/10, luckily I have a neat bump. Suffering with back ache more now..

Morning, don't be scared! It'll be fine, more of a paper exercise at this stage than anything else. Hope you get a nice midwife, my community midwife is total pants, completely inept! Seeing her today at 11.30, oh the joys:rotfl:

Argg re midwifes, just cant seem to get appointment times earlier than 10am, or late in the day as my surgery is 10 miles away from work id like to go before work so i havent got to leave and drive back again, but they take appointments in time order with the first at 10am.. so inconvenient!!

Morning all, Hope everyone had a good night.
What are/did people use for morning sickness?
I have the constant feeling that i am about to be sick, and hating it.
I was recommended ginger in water or ginger biscuits neither helped before so I am open to ideas.

Labor vibes to all that want them.

try having some plain biscuits next to the bed to eat before you actaully get up. I used to feel so sick I couldn't get the toothbrush in my mouth but as soon as I did I felt a lot better.

Jolene - you'll be fine. Here's hoping you get a nice MW, it is so reassuring when you do.

At last weight check I had put on 22lb (but that was quite a few weeks back!) pre-pregnancy weight was 8st - mine is all bump so I'm confident I'll shift it quickly after the birth
Might try and remember to weigh myself tonight - am sure it will be tons more!

Sorry your not bonding with bump - I like to sit in bed and rub Bio Oil into my bump which a.) helps stretchmarks and b.) I feel like we are having a little cuddle cos he does respond when I rub my tummy. Why don't you try it and see if it helps?

Do you think it's because you're normally quite active but feel you can do less now and feel it's because of the bump? If so, then don't worry in a couple of months you'll have your body back.
I quite often feel restricted cos I can't do things and I hate asking OH to help me but that's the nature of being pregnant and I know in 4 weeks time we'll have a little boy who will be worth it all.

    Morning ladies

Jolene, been said already but don't be nervous! Just enjoy it, not too much going on at the first appointment but you'll get to meet the midwife which hopefully will be a good experience. Mine is lovely!

Beenie, can't believe that little girl! Must be hard when her mum is sick but still not a good sign for things to come for her.

I have my dentist appointment today - just hope he understands how much my gums are hurting and can do something / recommend something to help! Not sure how I'll cope if this continues for the next 6 months! I have quite a high pain threshold but it's the fact that's it constant that is making it difficult. Plus the fact that it's making it hard to eat properly!

Harley - my sky box records stuff even when its turned off (when the red light is showing) so fingers crossed yours did

Thanks Kindof, and rest who offered advice on Sky, but I had to unplug it at the wall - 5 times - to get the stupid thing to do anything so missed the first 23 minutes of CSI. Not really worth watching the rest. Will try to see if it is on again this week as it is one of the few I've not seen already.

Does anyone with freeview know if you can get FX and Five USA channels? These seem to be the ones I watch most, and if I can save some money, or bribe sky into giving me a better deal, then I will.

Nanc, sorry you're not bonding as well as you had hoped. Do you talk to her, and does your OH talk, stroke, read, sing to her? Are you still adjusting to the fact that she is a she and not a he? This can take a little while I guess, but I'm sure once she is here all will be well. Maybe, once you can see her moving around and poking out of your tummy, you may feel she is more real.

harley - I'm pretty sure we get five, five us and fiver on freeview. if you cancelled SKY you would get freesat so might be worth seeing what channels are available on there.

Harley i share your woes re. digital Tv. My naughty dog has chewed my Virgin wires outside so they're down to the bare threads, luckily it still works but i don't think it will for much longer!! IThey'll charge me loads to repair it, but i'm going to argue that she wouldn't have been able to had they fixed them tightly to the wall, but they were loose!

It's FX that I like really Glam. Thats where NCIS and the lovely Tony is. Though even they are starting to repeat now. I'd quite like the movies back but that was really expensive, but I have a feeling I'd be watching a lot more of them when on leave. Probably at 2am whilst feeding, walking, rocking back and forth and trying not to cry. lol. Been waiting for a letter offering me a deal to go back but not had one yet. There was mention on another part of the board about movies for £3 per month for 6 months. Will try that one a bit nearer the time.

Got a friend coming to visit at some point today, but no idea when. I know I'm not going anywhere but would be nice to have a rough time in mind. Then parents are coming back tomorrow with my new wooden blind so dad can fit it in the lounge before baby arrives. I decided to get it to stop the freak round the corner looking into the house and to hide behind when he knocks the door for a chat, but he seems to have disappeared. Not seen him for weeks, as annoying as he is I hope nothing has happened to him.

Nanc, don't worry about putting that little bit of weight on. It sounds like it is well within the guidelines. I have put on almost 4 stone, at 34 weeks. I did start at 7stone 7lb though. But still, I have a lot of work to do once baby is born. Like Glam, it is mostly bump, though I do have the biggest thunderthighs I've ever seen on a skinny person. I don't look pregnant from behind, but I'm intrigued as to what shape I will be by Christmas. And I despise exercise, apart from walking, so I can't really see me doing anything to strenuous to work it off.
