Evening ladies and bumps,
Not had a chance to post much today. I was back at work and it was a looooong day. No repercussions from my "episode" last night - felt fine today and I have so much to get through at work that I thought it best to go back. The guy who is taking over from me is off next week, so I only have 3 days left to train him, and he keeps having to do stuff for his own job. It's going to be a nightmare.
Can't remember what anyone has said, so hugs and vibes and good lucks to everyone who needs them.
GISI - I would speak to your bosses again first before going off sick. If you say they are quite reasonable, then they may be able to suggest something or do some kind of deal with you. Could you work shorter hours? If all else fails, get a doctors line. I am sure they would rather avoid that though so they might be helpful.
Sugar/Hypno - your babies are both lovely.
I am so tired today. Had my usual 2 hours sleep last night or something like that. I don't know why I seem to be up to the loo more than some people. It's at least 3 times a night, and that's between about 1am and 6am!0 -
grr just lost my post - stupid lappy
fitzio - glad ur better but if you're not up to work don't go in. I'm doing handovers tomorrow and thursday but if i'm not well, i'll just write instructions out.
easier for me to say when i'm finishing friday and not going back after.
couldn't cope with that many night breaks - bad enough OH poking me every 5 minutes for snoring. He recorded it and I can't believe how loud it is
does anyone else have mega long nails?
Mine are always longish and strong naturally but the last few weeks they seem to be huge - i'm talking some of them are over 1cm long!

I hate Sky. I'm sat there, quite happily watching CSI Miami which I have just recorded when the damn thing switches itself off. Now it won't switch back on again and I have set it to record a load of stuff overnight so that I have something to watch tomorrow. Earlier it had the wrong description of a programme up on the information screen.

Thanks Glam. I only have this week and next to go. Finish up next Friday, although I have already said that I will be available for anything the following week, but I think I will just a phone call away rather than actually going in!
I really do feel fine - no pain or anything, although killer heartburn today, but nothing unusual. Just really tired. And every time I wake up during the night, my carpal tunnel is particularly bad. I see yours was bothering you at work today - mine seems fine if I am typing or doing anything. It's just when I have been sleeping or not doing anything that my fingers stiffen up.
Think I will go to bed now - very early for me. DH is going to give me a foot massage before going to the spare room! At least your OH is still with you ha ha. For now! Night. x0 -
Good evening all had antenatal las night, didnt go much on it nothing I hadnt read in books, just looking forward to tour of ward and breastfeeding workshop.
Just got back from swim in the sea.. oh i do love to live beside the seaside.Received £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j

Before I go - three2be, my SIL is going to Princess Royal (due in November) and I think all her midwife appointments have been there. Mine are in my local surgery, but the midwife is only there for a half day every week. Each LA seems to be different.
I am probably closest to you - I had booking at 8 weeks (doctors contacted midwife and I got an appointment through the post). Then scan at 12 weeks, then midwife at 16, 22, 28, 32, 34 weeks. Next one is 36 weeks, then I think maybe 38, 39, 40?? I only got one scan so when everyone is talking about Nuchal scans, we don't get that. If you don't hear anything within the next week, I would just phone the Royal directly.0 -
night fitz
nanc - yeah mine was crap too - I learnt more on here than i did fom a mw reading stuff of a handout for 40mins instead of 2 hrs. I thouht we would look at positions for labour and breathing and stuff - next week is pain relief so hoping it's a bit better. MW was asking us what we had covered and how long course was - we were all like 'um, u tell us'
ur brave - i hate swimming in the sea. i hate water at the best of times but am worse if i can't see the bottomA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Honestly Glam, you pay a fortune to subscribe and they can't even supply you with a decent box. I've sorted it now but have missed half of CSI New York that was recording, and that is my favourite one. And I can't see a Five+1 to record it later.
When I'm off and they recorded bits are pretty much empty I will complain and get them to send out another box, and if they seriously think I am paying for another one they can think again. Also hoping to convince them to give me a good deal on movies when I'm on ML. Figured if I'm going to be up half the night, then I might as well have something good to watch to help keep me awake.

You're not alone with your interupted sleep fitzio, I am up every 30 - 45 mins  I think you are due a few days after me, i'm due aug 31st.
Please let me do go into labour tonight, I dont know why I am even kidding myself, this is my 4th and i have never gone into labour spontaneously yet!
