Well ladies, restful nights to you all (apart from Suzy who gets the most humungus (sp?) labour vibes ever!)

Hope the heartburn, aches, pains, cramps, peeing, and snoring don't keep you all awake tonight!

I have a busy day tomorrow with dentist first thing then work, then midwife then back to work so I'm off to bed now to read for 15 minutes then sleep. Just hope I can manage til OH gets home from work for my nightly pee break otherwise I'll be woken up twice

    Night ladies!

    Long post alert....

Thanks to all the ladies who posted their useful after birth advice and experiences! Really good idea of Jillie's to raise the topic. Annoyed I had to dash of mid conversation, but I was suddenly in agony and cue lots of drama and a trip to maternity hospital!

Last week I had really bad pain across the top of my rib cage for about 5 minutes. It was really quite painful, but after moving into different positions, it wore off. I just thought maybe baby was lying funny and had then moved.

Tonight, I was just posting on here, when it started again. Half an hour later with me crying and hardly being able to breathe, OH had to take me to hospital. He had tried to phone the triage number several times for advice, but we couldn't get through so decided to drive over since it's only 10 minutes away. I can't describe how horrendous the pain was. My bump was rock solid, and OH thought it was a Braxton Hick at first, but there is no way it would go on that long or be that sore. I had also jumped in a cold shower to try and cool down as I was getting a bit delirious with the pain and hoped that the cool water might help, but got out again straight away. Then I could hardly get dressed as I hadn't dried off properly! I looked a right nick!

Had to stop the car en route and I got out and was violently sick at the side of the road. By the time I got to hospital, it was starting to wear off. I managed to walk to the maternity wing and the pain wore off about 5 minutes after I arrived.

They monitored baby's heartbeat for about 30 mins and took samples and did some tests, but they have no idea what caused it. Baby appears to be absolutely fine though which is the main thing, but I hope contractions are no worse than the pain I had. At least with contractions, they last so long and then wear off - this was constant pain for half an hour.

Hi Glam, smartie12 was here earlier asking about RLT and how often etc. I said you knew, but couldn't find that post you had ages ago with the list of when to take!
If you want a diff perspective I got my info of how much from here: http://www.askbaby.com/raspberry-leaf-tea.htm

Thanks Sami. I was given the impression they would jump at the chance with me too. Probably best to prepare for not, just in case.

Might end up with my best friend after all. Still don't really know why I'm not too comfortable with that but I might just have to get over myself.

    xx
I was worried about my mum being there but in the end she was fantastic support its weird because she saw everything and I didn't care but now it makes me uncomfortable if she has a conversation with me while I'm BFing

fitzio - sounds like scary stuff glad everything is OK.

I'm having BH's more now that I am on the RLT but they aren't painful in anyway which MW said was normal.

I'm quite enjoying the RLT now.

right think I'm going to get ready for bed. Night girlies

Ugh finding eBay so mind numbing tonight. I'm so keen to find some bargainous leggings or nice long cardi's or tops, but it's hurting my head and i'm finding myself scrolling through sooooooo much rubbish.

To be honest, any form of shopping hurts my head, especially cos i'm so skint/tight and don't wanna spend more than about £3:D It would be so much easier if i had the money to just risk paying £10-£15 for a top but i won't on ebay in case it doesn't fit properly, and i can't be bothered relisting... I loathe shopping in actual shops more though.

Morning ladies i have been woken up by OH going to work grrrr. I will be the only one here at the moment.

I've had a couple of finds on the nursing bra front Tesco are doing Plain white ones £5 each or 2 for £8 and i have found a lovely Black lacy number not very practical but looks lovely if you need to get dressed up for an occasion or you just want to stop feeling like dairy cow for a while in peacocks for £5 as well :-)

Right im going to linger around for abit then head back to bed for an hr. hope you are all doing well :-) xx
