Nicki, the only thing that's offended me about what you've posted is that I'm about to give birth and you found it acceptable to imply that the medical team taking care of me are unprofessional enough to leave me in pain over a weekend for their own amusement.

If you don't like what I post then please feel free to ignore me. I'll do the same and then it'll all be sunshine and rainbows.

I am if I go by the date the early scan gave me, but the MW plucked a date out of midair and gave me a week today

How are you doing? Any twinges? I've had zilch so think I'm going to go at least a few more days.

I am 3/5 engaged though...

I wouldn't bank on that. I had no signs at all with my second, until the morning of the night my waters broke (at 37 and a half weeks), when I suddenly went into nesting mode and had my DH building flat pack furniture like there was no tomorrow! I didn't have a show beforehand or any more powerful BHs just a few niggles on the day, waters going suddenly in the middle of the night, accompanied by lots and lots of blood (which apparently masked the show) and contractions coming 5 mins apart about half an hour after the waters went.

Not all babies are considerate enough to give you a few days notice, or to wait until their precise EDD

Because it wasn;t an NHS scan, and she just made up an LMP date for me. I miscarried before this PG so didn;t have a period. So Monday is the most accurate date I've got.

I'm not banking on anything - I'm happy for it to come tonight, tomorrow, next week, whenever really!

I've been nesting like mad so we are ready and it's just a waiting game.
