You might be astonished to know that the Quark is really working! I put it on, then covered it in kitchen roll and put a nursing bra over the top of it. I smell like cheese and am unlikely to be seducing anyone this evening, but it's worth it for the relief.

I'm sold - soft curd cheese for nipple pain. You heard it here first.

  • Hi,

Can I join you? :hello: Hope everybody is doing well!

Blimey Sugarspun- ALL your shopping is done?? I've not even got birthday pressie for someone for Sunday!

Our first baby is due 20th November and I'm just starting to try and organise myself! LOL

We have been looking at bigger cars as I only have a 2 door (or is that 3??)

Starting to worry a little about money and how much time I can afford to have off work? Any ideas about costs on top of normal household outgoings??

Oh and a friend lent me some books .....the back pages scared me a little :o

Welcome on board MSW and congratulations. You will be surprised how much money you will still have coming in and with a little planning you should be able to have quite a bit of time off depending on your circustances. The ladies on here are brill and will point you in the right direction to get saving on anything and everything :-)

I had my 2nd 20 wk scan this week so now feel the need to get organised! My bump refused to cooperate the 1st time.

Also went to physio today cos been having probs with my hips - my hubbie is really impressed with the large tubigrip I am currently wearing round my middle!!

    Welcome MSW!

I've finished all the birthday and Christmas shopping for the year already, mostly because I didn't want to be doing the shopping with a small baby and assumed that I'd be on call for cattle duty so wouldn't have time to go without her.

A lot of it was online though - halfcost.co.uk have some great stuff really cheap - there's a wine course for £1 and a wine atlas for £2, which is a gift in itself for £3 or you could add a mini bottle or two. Hawkin's Bazaar and play.com have sales on at the minute and there's always stuff from ebay.

I'm feeling very agitated and don't know what to do with myself. Snapping at everyone too (got a bruise on my hand from punching the dogs crate in a temper at something, I don't even know what it was now).
  • Very impressed! (Off to print xmas list from last year...oh and send off driving licence in married name before our first anniversary)

Oh, and always go through a cashback site and look for codes before buying anything ;)
