I'm wearing the daintiest ones I can still fit in today Suzy - I had to shoehorn myself into them so I doubt there's room for one more!

I figured that my pretty pants would cause an immediate flood of breaking waters.

I've also reserved places at a Sunday roast event happening next week. They're quite unusual, all this traditional English food, and since I've reserved for it she'll no doubt make it so I can't go, whereas if I didn't reserve I'd still be sitting here pregnant and resentful.

Can I ask if those who have had mc's before got early scans? I had a complete natural miscarriage and so I expect the doctors won't see any point in scanning me early (as it wasn't a MMC), however, I don't know that I can wait another 8 weeks till the 12 week scan.

I didn't. We paid for a private one at 8 weeks but the NHs would only do the usual scans as they say mc is so common.

I am now third on the list!! And joint second if I go by my EDD not the MW's one

No signs though - reckon it will be a week or so yet.

I don't appreciate the suggestion that the people responsible for my medical care would find a practical joke at my expense professional or appropriate behaviour, and I suggest that if you're not too sure how to say something without being rude you simply don't say it. You're quick enough to take offence - are you sure you're not just looking for an excuse to dish some out?

I have deleted the message as it was intended to be helpful rather than unpleasant, though that is how you have taken it.

However the remainder of your post to me is frankly nasty and imho unnecessary. I do not think I am quick to take offence. One particular turn the thread took a few days ago upset me greatly (rather than caused me offence) due to my own traumatic birth experiences last time round, which others on this thread know about and have helped to support me with. With the exception of that one incident, whilst I have very occasionally disagreed with advice offered on here, I am not aware that I have ever posted anything on this thread or any other here or anywhere else on the whole of the internet which could be construed as taking offence at anything. The fact that I needed to empty my PM box 3 times over the course of 24 hours as it filled up so quickly with messages of support from the other lovely past and present posters on this thread was greatly appreciated, and rather suggests that most of those reading recognised how I was feeling.

Might I suggest you put me on ignore if my very few posts about my own experiences distract you from your many lists about your need to fold your knickers, visit the post office, vaccuum up your bugs and record your bejewelled scores and vent about every single visit to your OBGYN. That might at least ensure that you don't respond to such posts either by saying "Well anyway, my bejewelled score is the best ever" or "The most important thing is that the baby comes out healthy" (when those who read the thread and care what other posters post know that one of the results of my last labour was that the baby came out with serious brain damage), and just generally stop you choosing to yourself take offence at anything I post when none was intended.
