And thanks, I just hope they let me have the scan! (As I had a scan at 8+ weeks so have been accurately "dated" already) Anyone suggest anything I could say to try and persuade them to let me have it if they try to refuse me?
Hi Sarah
Did they do your 8 week scan or was it done elsewhere?
If they did it, I would play dumb and then look heartbroken if they say No turn to OH and say 'Oh, I've been so worried about this scan and now I'll be worrying until 20 week scan' (a few tears would go down great). Ask them why the MW didn't say anything or why you were sent the appointment, then complain about the time you've taken out of work and had to pay car park etc (again through tears). You'll get the scan and ...................................................................................

If it was done elsewhere - how would they know?
I measured mattress this am and it is the M&P size of 67 x 30cm. The difference between that and 66 x 28cm looked so minimal but I'm conscious that there is already a small gap with this one in.
and Suzy - just for you

Thanks Glam, it was done elsewhere and I know they sent the notes to the midwife (cos she got them and phoned me to try and get me to cancel the appointment) but I don't know if she then includes them in her notes and sends to the hospital? I don't really know exactly how it works.
But thanks for the advice - I'll let you all know later how it went!!0 -

Morning ladies!
Good luck to SJ and Lou with scans. SJ, I don't know of anyone having a problem going for their 12 week scan when they have had an early scan, so don't worry. I am sure it will be fine.
Glam – hope your last week at work goes well. Your bump is lovely and neat. Might get DH to take a picture of mine later, and if Jillie does one, you can compare them again! I have no concept of whether mine is big or not, but people don’t seem to believe I am 34 weeks (yesterday)!
Nanc - we start antenatal classes next week. I know that everyone has mixed views over whether they will be any good or not, but as they are free, I think there is no harm in going along. Even if I only learn 1 think or DH learns something then it would be worth it. Although our first one is the night of the Celtic v Arsenal game so we are very tempted to not go!! Really hope it gets rescheduled!
Suzy – hugs and labour vibes to you! Hope it happens soon for you. Although we will miss you posting when you go!
Still to hear from Fairydawn and Shelvis who should both have their babies by now. Looking forward to more piccies.
Boo – my DH officially moved into the spare room last night! My bump is straining so much that I am finding my body pillow to be useful at last. But as I toss and turn all night, flinging the pillow over me, he has had enough, lol. Was nice to have the extra space, but I missed him too.
Harley and GISI – hope you both start to feel better soon. I completely agree with MM and Lolly though. You might think you will be a bit bored when off on mat leave, but if your body is tired, you will appreciate it and make sure you are not too run down when to have quality time with baby. I have been leaving a few little things still to do and buy so I can do them when on mat leave (non essential things really). Also, save some money so you can do lunch with friends!
Today, I have taken a flexi day as I had 7 hours and thought no point in carrying it over for the next 9 months! I have 34 week midwife appointment at lunchtime, then meeting a friend for lunch. Then I might go and do some shopping. Starting to pack my hospital bag now, so need to get a cheap nightshirt or something for the birth and stuff like that. Slowly getting there!0 -

Morning all, Labor vibes to all in need of them.
Just been looking through the net at all the baby stuff. I swear everything has got really expensive or have i just got tight with money as i've aged?
Is anyone else considering using washable nappies?
Did a quick calculation and if i launder them myself they are very mse in the long run, although perhaps for the first month disposables would be easier for nights till i get the hang of them.
Had them for emergencies with previous 2 and they were pretty easy considering it was terry and not the new shaped ones.
Loving every ones choice of prams cant wait to choose mine.
Got a while to decide though lol[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j
