Glad this has been deleted - can't see the point in it to be perfectly honest!

ETA - Trolls have no place on this forum so bu66er off somewhere else!

Tigs - please don't NOT post because of those morons.
Tigs, you stick around, !!!! the trolls!

    Thanks. :A

I love the colour debate. We were so convinced that Beanie was going to be a girl, we thought nothing of getting clothing bundles that included pink from eBay  They went back on for re-auction! Half of his stuff now is white/cream, the rest is most decidedly blue. But I have seen some lovely stuff in apple green in a few shops.

NMS was saying that M&P moses baskets tend to be bigger so you need a bigger mattress. I'll measure mine this week and see what I can find.

    Will let you know.

No idea about sleeping bag - I have a few and don't know if they are instead of our as well as blankets

Sorry, I posted and then ran yesterday! Someone wanted feeding

Anyway my M&P moses basket says the base is 710mm x 350 mm - is this bigger than normal

Sleeping bags - there is some confusion but some recommend not to use then until baby is 7lb. We have 2 upstairs just waiting, DS likes to be swaddled so we are happy with blankets until he changes his mind.

I bought a couple of sleeping bags before I found out Beanie might be on the small side - I guess I'll have to wait and see what size he comes out, he may have to be swaddled instead until he's big enough to use them.

With regards to the cost, my mam tells me things are a lot cheaper now than they were in the 80's when she had me and my bro, noway in them days could you get a 3 pack of sleepsuits for £3.75 for example

Clothes are definatley cheaper but that goes for adult clothes these days too, you couldn't have got adult jeans for £3 in the 80's. Its the other stuff thats dearer, £110 for a car seat!! Nearly pooped myself. DD's was £35 and was the top Britax one at the time. Got change from £8 for a branded bouncer chair, sure her highchair was less than £20. Can't believe the prices of some of this stuff now!!

Ours is a Mamas and Papas Cotbed, can't find it on the website, but then it is nearly 6 years old. Its Pine or light Oak, with Rattan effect ends. I'm no good at explaining things. OH put it up last week, and it still looks practically brand new.

But was covetting a Dark wood Sleigh type Cotbed when i had a flying visit to Toys R Us. Dark wood is usually so not me but i thought it was lovely. But obviously not getting as have perfectly lovely, functionable one already.
