    Hi all

Can I butt in on the water birth convo? I'm hoping to homebirth in one and think I have decided on the Aqua Born one http://www.ecobirthpools.co.uk/birthpools.asp

Xmas - which have you got and do you mind me asking how you decided?
And ML, which are you going for?

I got me an eco birthpool in a box regular size with the seat for your partner. I was worried it would be huge but its actually not that big just the right size for two people and it has pretty pictures all over the side of it which i wasnt expecting. To be honest from the start i wanted a home water birth but i had a bit of a fight on my hands to begin with then much to my surprise the consultant just agreed at my last appointment and gave me his blessing. AS for the type of pool decision was taken out of my hands i bought it off a friend for £30 so i bit her hand off for it although i was looking at the eco pools anyway as they were a good price and had lots of good recomendations from people :-) xx

I'm up early-ish too for me...I usually go back into a deep slumber after DH leaves for work, but the Next lady came with various maternity & baby bits, so going back to sleep wasn't really an option! Too much going on in head at the moment (family bits) so will just console myself with an afternoon nap instead of a morning lie-in :D (besides, lie-ins are much better when DH is there!)

I'm wondering if I squash the babe by lying on my tummy I will feel it move? :p That would be mean! Also, wanted to say about the doppler thing...I have an Angelsounds I picked up for a bargain on eBay...it's okayish. I wish it had a probe-thing rather than having to move the whole device around your belly. Just feels cheap but can usually find HB with it, so suppose it gets the job done. I'm trying to remember when 1st found HB...10/11 wks??

I have absolutely no idea, but good luck to you Natalie! Fingers crossed. x

Morning everyone. Been up for an hour or so, really want to have a long lie, but just can't get comfortable. My back is just too sore and I can't find the best position to stuff pillows! Going to make bacon rolls for breakfast soon. Just waiting on rolls defrosting. Then today, I am going to do some overdue housework and DH is going to paint the kitchen. It's the last room to be decorated! :T

    morning ladies and bumps!!
Sugar -- thats a naughty lil bump u got on ur hands!! hehe. or maybe just preparing you for what is to come, like easing you into it!??

i had a lovely long lie-in until 10am - no toilet stops in middle of night or anything, so am feeling very refreshed. am just having cuppa tea before i go collect DD up and then go shopping with sister!
Natalie - im not 100% sure either aboutthe show even though this is my 2nd - being induced with DD, i dont have any experience of going through it on my own, IYSWIM?? although, my toilet time isnt "normal" - always have a bit of dischargey stuff going on!?
Hope your sweep goes well today Suzy. Labour vibes to everyone else and have a nice saturday to all others!!! xxo

Jam - I've gone through the company that my MW gave me a card for http://www.waterbabybirthingpoolhire.co.uk/ £50 for 5 weeks (37-42) They've been really helpful, even agreeing to deliver a few days early as suggested by MW. From what she said the pools are big enough for DH to get in too, which he's keen to do (MW just said would he mind keeping his boxers on lol!)
