Both my sisters - up north - didn't have to pay for any photos but I had to pay £3 per photo. (However twice I just paid for one photo and still got three!)

round here the anomaly scan is called the 18-20 week scan
and depending on whicj clinic you choose to go to for scans you can sneak of without paying, not that I did that of course :whistle:0 -
jha - may i congratulate you on your excellent round up in your post last night. You must take notes, because i can never remember what i want to say by the end of the catch up.
Think we are are awaiting news from Nicknak and Triggles?
Also thank you Nicki for your info on elective sections yesterday evenining. I am still undecided and my emergency section was in the dim and distant past, and you have reminded me of a few things. Especially the standing up straight, do remember i stooped over for a good few days. Had no choice it the getting mobile bit, was dragged out of bed the next day by the midwives and told to move around after being cleaned up. Also on the big knicker front, i remember being given a pair of mesh type stretcy ones in the hospital. They were not very attractive but i honestly think i fell in love with them, so comfy and did not irritate my cut at all. Have seen some for sale on the NCT website. If i do get booked in for an ES, i will order some from there. (Or are these the ones you have just ordered from Boots Tia?)
Sending Labour vibes for SugarSpun, Carla and SuzyWuzy and i know someone is having a 20 week scan today, but just can't recall????0 -

At Wazza General you have scan, tell them how many you want, go and put money in machine to get a little ticket and when they bring your notes and photos they take ticket and stick it to your report. At my growth scan she didn't take ticket so I coulda got away without paying! :mad:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

Also helps when the office is "closed for lunch". So you don't have to pay then either....0 -
I'm in London and had to pay for my piccys. Supposed to be £3 each, but each time I've gotten 2 photos and only paid £3 :P. (liike Sami, would've been very easy to breeze out of the room without paying, but we were honest!)
Also, nuchal is offered alongside the dating scan after 12wks, but like jenny my baby wasn't big enough the 1st time I went in (it was scheduled on my LMP EDD which wound up being wrong), so had to go back 2 wks later for another one. I get another scan at 20 wks-ish as well. I think it's different in every PCT and I seem to remember reading that Scotland don't offer the 20 wk scan at all?top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

I take it you went to TLC too?
The scan woman said to me just pop in, if there's no one there then it doesn't matter
so hubby said to me (without checking) oh dear there's no one there- they've had enough money from me in parking and they owe me for giving me an evil scanner that made me cry!! (she told me my baby would be treated as if it had HIV/Hep because I'd refused the test!!) - that isn't true BTW evil b1tch!!

Further up north than you! Preston and Cumbria. Being originally from Cumbria everything is down south to me although my perspective is changing a bit now I live in London.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

I'm based in Kent and seem to be the only place being charged £5 per photo and having the first dating scan at around 17 weeks!0

Thanks for that linky Glam- it is amazing how much variation there is! I'm actually very pleased how 'neat' mine is, considering I was a not so neat size 14 before I started!
I had to pay £5 each time for pics, but first time we got 3 and at 20 weeks we got 2. I didn't have the nuchal scan, even though it was offered, Partly because I am low risk, partly because it wouldn't have made a difference to what we did so seemed a waste.
SS- just being very nosy, but is all your healthcare private? Feel free not to answer but I just wondered....:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
