What do you think of this list for a c section birth bag?

    Paper knickers
    Stretchy knickers
    Pads (3 packs)
    Breast pads (30)
    2 Breast feeding bras
    2 nighties (1 long, 1 short)
    2 pairs PJ's
2 pairs joggers, 2 hoodie tops
    3-4 vest tops
Socks (to keep sexy stockings clean, I don't do slippers)
Toiletries inc long handled loofa brush thing
Book, change, hair dryer, peppermints, diluting juice (so I drink plenty of water)

    6 babygrows
    6 vests
    6 socks
    4 cardigans
    2 hats
    Nappies
Vaseline (slather it on babes butt to make tar removal easier)
    Dummies
    Shawl
    A little blankie toy

(babies clothes and nappies, I will take newborn size and also the tiny baby size in a separate bag which if not used will be handed down to SCBU)

Sugar- i'm just really annoyed because I'd never been in hospital before and i just always thought that private healthcare was a worthwhile investment because at least i'd know that if i needed treatment or care then i would decent care rather than relying on the lottery that you often get with the NHS. Well now i will need it and i will have to stay in hospital and it would just mean the luxury of my own room and a bit more one to one care and right now i would really appreciate that but the healthcare company says no.....

Genius tip with the Vaseline there tia - thanks!

Hypno I think you're right to be annoyed. I'd be furious, it's not like you're having an elective C-section because you don't want to bother with the birth and you're expecting a bonus tummy tuck while they're there.

Good luck Suzy - if your little one isn't out by Monday I'm going to beat you :P

Sounds good to me Tia. Re: Pads, are they not supplied at the hospital? I know when i had DS they were huge mattress type pads, but they were very long and think the midwife even slapped two on me at a time.

HypnoNu - I would be very annoyed.

    Skinty - thanks!!!!

Tia - thanks!!!! I'm going to copy and paste it for my hospital bag - what sort of stuff would you add for a Vaginal delivery? I'll cover both bases as there's a 50/50 chance of c-section. Better to be prepared :)

Just had a text from dh to ask would I pull the sofa out and look behind it as he is sure he heard a mouse when he was getting ready for work this morning!!!
We have been plagued with the little !!!!!!s since they started demolishing houses in the street behind ours. Our neighbour actually put her house up for sale and moved because of it.
I hate them with a passion but dh is the biggest wuss ever and is petrified of them. I am sitting on said sofa at the moment and hate the thought that it could be right underneath me so am plucking up the courage to look. Wondering how to devise a catching device in case it starts running around living room...
    Coming soon............
Brand new baby first showing in November!
Brand new baby boy (Matthew) born 3 weeks early weighing a diddly 5lb 4 oz!!
