tia - what are your sugars like?
That actually doesn't seem a lot - more smaller portions throughout the day.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Glam, right now (did it just for you) it is 8.8, I had a bowl of soup about 30mins ago though and not long by with those mini milks
Feels like a lot, my stomach is agony all stretched tight. But then I have really bad diadiddly which may be why I am drinking so much. Onion soup is supposedly good for that. And looking, I'm probably hungry because there isn't much proper food in there, soup doesn't count really.
mleh, bath time I think.0 -

and have they been like that all the time?!
Can't understand how I'm on Insulin and you're not!
If I have a run of anything over 7.8 ( so say 5 after breakfasts in a row) I have to increase it and now cos I've had 4 out of 5 above 7.8 after lunch I'll probably end up with Insulin at lunchtime as wellA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Trying to play catch up, sorry. You all move too fast!
My kids are NOT settling at all tonight!
Doesn't help there's still kids playing outside our house as i type!
Am i the most unreasonable parent? My 6 y.o (eldest) is in for 7, bed for 8 and sleep for 9 usually. There's kids outside right now as young as her :@If google doesn't know it, how should i?0 -

See thats the thing, I've to test before food.
My targets are...
First thing, less than 5.5
Before lunch and dinner, 4-6
and 2 hours after food 7.8. But I've NOT to test after food.
Been getting so far, first thing 4.2-5.9, before lunch 4.4-8 (depending on when I have lunch) and before dinner 4.0-6.6 before bed 5.4-8.4 All over the place really.
I think I should be going onto insulin or at least the tablets, but my next diabetic clinic is the 5th and they will be deciding upon my induction at that point. Maybe they won't bother because I'm 35 weeks now??
Off for that bath now, honest.
Nic, mine are in for 6pm (cos thats when the idiots come out to play, one was so clever yesterday that he spat in the wind...) in bed for 8pm but they can watch a dvd and play quietly and sleeping for 9.30pm.
When at school it's bed for 7pm but can play/read (no dvd on school nights) till 8pm.
They are 7 and 4.0 -
I don't think they give tablets in pregnancy - just diet only or Insulin.
My lunchtime one yesterday was 5.8 but I ate at 2.15pm and hadn't eaten since Breakfast at 7.30am! So it was probably way to low to begin with.
I'm pooped - worked 8am-4pm, then 1 hour overtime til 5pm. Then an hour to get home cos of traffic and nipped to ASDA, came home, cooked tyea, helped OH look for jobs, have just done another 2hrs overtime from 9pm to 11pm!
11hours work today!
Have done 16.5 hours overtime so far this month and hoping to get another 10 in before end of July - have asked to be paid it in August though as I'll have 2 weeks at 90% so should be just like getting normal salary. Shoudl also get another 10hours OT in August as well - then I'll be having a well earned rest!
night everyone - another long day tomorrow!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I was told they wouldn't do tablets for GD either - either diet controlled or straight to insulin. My testing limits were under 6 prior to eating, and under 7 when testing 2 hrs after eating. So six tests per day - felt like I was always testing. Luckily, my levels stayed under limits and as of 36 wks, they told me I didn't have to test anymore.
Glam - hope the levels even out for you a bit so you don't need to increase the insulin again. I know my younger sis went on insulin during her 2nd to last pregnancy and was taking it 4-5 times per day - but then we have a huge family history of diabetes and she is now on insulin regularly (not pregnant) so it was probably in the cards for her anyway, I suppose.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
Morning ladies, bumps.
I'm awake at butt o'clock again this morning, just listening to the binmen taking away two boxes, a giant bag, and a broken lamp for us. Hurrah!
Still no news from Skinty? I'm getting worried. I know she's probably just busy, but ...... you know?
I'm about to get started on my list for today. Another busy one, but it's all coming together!

Welcome Flis - must be difficult making midwife appointments being a childminder.
Hi Karen,
it is a bit awkward, but to be honest the parents of the children I look after are great and don't mind me taking the children along most of the time. It is a bit of a pain having to drag 2-3 children with me, but it's better than not getting paid!!

I had my test for GD on Wednesday and am currently waiting for the results. I thought they could diet control it? I'm not great with needles, so not looking forward to it if I have to inject insulin!Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0
