I've popped back. Contractions stopped between 10 and 11 but are back now, about 15 mins apart. No idea if it will get going properly overnight but Oh is still planning to go to his meeting in London and will leave the house at 7.30am so if anything kicks off after that he will be over two hours away on public transport.
Doula is also going to London tomorrow and although I will update her tomorrow I can;t really ask her not to go (it's for another client) if I'm not really in labour.
Haven;t checked my cervix - might do so tomorrow if things are not progressing, or I might see if the MW can come and do it for me.
So frustrating not knowing if anything is happening or not.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Hi Skinty, labour vibes coming your way. Still reading my Ina May book, advice so far is keep positive, relaxed and try visualizing what's happening in particular your cervix opening. Hope that helps!

I'm visualising! I'm now feeling wetness so am trying to monitor what's coming out in case it is my waters. Probably just discharge though! Must go to bed - if it is labour will need as much sleep as i can get.
will check in later if I'm not too far into labour (I can hope!).:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Been up for an hour already, takes to much effort to try and sleep when you can't lol.
Nikki- Hope everything goes ok for you at the consultant today, and you get some help/reassurance.
Skinty- anything happening??0 -
Morning. I pretty much slept through last night and feel really good for it this morning!
Nicki- hope it goes well with the consultant today. I'm sure the week will fly by for you and OH will be back before you know it. Feel free to moan away on here if it helps.
Skinty- so excited for you. Hope baby holds on until your OH and doula are back tonight. Sounds like you are totally in control
Thanks for the tea suggestions last night. We had a chippy tea in the end as neither of us could be bothered to cook! I'm getting jacket potatoes in for tonight though as you all tempted me with yours. Lentil bolognese for me and beans for hubby with loads of cheese. I've been very good today and yesterday and have taken lunch into work. Hope to keep this up all week as it does save lots of pennies.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Urgh, I was up for three hours in the middle of the night for no reason and now I feel like pants. I need to go up to the admin department of the hospital, they've sent me something inexplicable and it needs to be sorted out. But I think I'm just going to eat something small and curl up in bed for a while longer. It's only hospital admin, taking a shower and cleaning another area of the kitchen on the list today. I can do those later.
Happy day to everyone and good luck/labour vibes to anyone who needs/wants them.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I hope everything is going ok Skinty
I was looking through kiddiecare's website and was all confused by all the things you can buy lol can you lovely ladies help me out?
I know its way in the future (well March when I am due) but a girl can plan right? lol
I am not buying anything for the baby yet, till I am way more gone, but I like to look and plan and decide on what to buy
OH and I think we are going to go for a cot bed, that way it can be a bed as well till they grow out of it.
But then on the website there was a moses basket and a crib? do we need those as well? if so what for? does the baby sleep in those and not the cot? sorry for the dumb questions, but I see so many baby products and I think hmmm do I need them all?
I thought the baby just needed a cot and that would be that, if so what are the other things for?
I do remember my friend having a moses basket in the sitting room, so that she had the baby near her and didnt have to keep going upstairs to put baby in cot when it was sleeping, is that whats its for then?
