donald, i know exactly what im on about, you are quoting from an ex minister who is guilty of the act of treason , do you know what you are on about?
we are all part of a society, like it or not, so your quote proves your complete lack of understanding regarding anything political, which makes you look kind of silly, but thank you for your amusing posts so far0 -

This is what I've found lostinrates, although with a different condition. I'm now waiting for some bloke on here to tell me I'm making that up too, seeing as though they all seem to think I am a compulsive liar!
screamer, I would honestly advise that the opinions of a stranger on an internet forum are irrelevant. You know your health problems and don't need to defend them.
If someone believes you are lying, there's nothing else you can say or do to convince them otherwise. All you will achieve is an extra level of stress placed upon your shoulders, in trying

People who claim benefits without even trying to get a job and decide to live off the state = SCUM plain and simple.
These people should be left to starve. And there are a few more than an odd one or two out there believe me.
People who genuinely need help I sympathize, however, I wish some of these people would use a little of a wonderful thing called initiative instead of defaulting back to state support as the 'only other option'. I dont believe in society, I can tell you that completely. I believe in friendship, good local communities and family, all of which socialism seems to try to defeat as quirky, sometimes as direct competition.
Just a little thought for you all; what happens when we get to a situation where the state has a choice between paying benefits, equipping our troops to fight wars that our elected government send them on, or money to spent investing in our childrens future, namely the education budget? What happens when things get so tight, the DWP budget gets slashed and the chancellor announces widespread cuts in entitlements, tax credits and the like? It will have to happen at some stage if this country has to lift itself from the strife we have bestowed upon ourselves. The state simply CANNOT nor will it be able to support the level of unemployment we face as a result of the excessive benefits we have in our society. Forget what is fair. There is a limit to what is possible, and we are rapidly approaching it. High tax payers will only be willing to be squeezed a little more before heading to other shores and foreign investors will only continue to pay for UK gilts for a set amount of time.
Who will help you then? I guarantee it wont be the state. Only your close friends, local community and friends will help. FACT. I would help a complete stranger if I thought they would need it and would appreciate it (friend of a friend needed regular lifts to hospital whilst undergoing treatment but didnt have the cash for public transport) I have done before and I will again. It is action like this that will help those most in need; the state is an imperfect, impersonal beast that can never replace, friends, family or local community support.0 -

I agree with pretty much all of what you say.
Re: genuine people should use a bit of "initiatibe".
Throughout my childood I use to see a chap a few yrs older than me , in his wheelchair, day in day out he went to hospital and attended a "special "school. He grew up and sadly had both legs amputated. He had been given the "!!!!!! end" of the stick of Life.
He left school and worked and worked and worked (in the printing industry) .Lived on his own and was a good role model to people ,made the most of hand he was dealt. He sadly passed away about 3 yrs ago...
There is a sizable minority in this country that should hang their heads in shame for the way they have wasted their lives and although I consider myself a "humanist" I think they are SCUM and don't deserve "society" as it stands to support them...0 -

I thought the benefit claiming chavs were healthy. Why else would they dress in tracksuits.

Well as I live in a leafy and somewhat elitist tiny market town in the middle of nowhere, not very many, if any. They seem to inhabit the city in the main part. I think its the diet of chips and white lightening that results in the fatness. Often the girlfriend is very skinny - very very skinny.
Didnt they used to put these in the army in my dad / grand dads days?
The EEC wouldnt let us now, it'd violate their human rights.
What is about chavs that makes them think they look good that way? oikish little sub culture.0
