By the way, I addressed my complaint to the Chief Executive, and have been given a direct line contact for a colleague in his office should we have any more trouble - I have learned never to complain unless its at the top! :D

Night shift now until Sunday morning so I may not be able to post but I have 10 days at home after that to tackle the week's post! Still waiting to hear from my speculative and very polite letter to A&L re: hubbys £330 charges when his company changed from paying him weekly to fortnightly and we messed up a bit (rather a big bit £330 size mess up!).:D

Having to trawl my own thread to find the Chief Exec's office contact I dealt with one year ago. Apparently my arrangement has come to an end at the end of July - funny they didn't think to tell me ;)

Instead they have passed it to groundwell debt recovery who have banged on some charges and want double what I was paying littlewoods over 3 years accruing interest the entire time. I don't think so.................

Ok, well Littlewoods have agreed to remove the £12 charges recently lumped on, and spread the remaining balance over 3 years at 0% interest.

Also Santander got back to us re: the charges taken from Alan's account, and have agreed to refund £25 (which they have) as a goodwill gesture. I have the chance to appeal so I may well chance my arm - but to be honest £25 was worth asking and worth the price of a stamp :D

Nothng much else on the boil at the moment, need to spend the afternoon doing a few letters before I head back to London :(

Forgot to mention.............. I also negotiated a £108.61 discount on my balance with Littlewoods. Not quite sure how, but I asked whether they would be willing to reduce my balance any in order to ensure the total is repaid sooner? Anyway it worked and I have spread my balance over 3 years at 0% interest. Very happy bunny:D:money::j

Also, I have chanced my arm with A&L by pointing out that on 4 of the occasions when we were charged £25 the amounts unpaid by A&L were like £10 & £12. Well, they did offer me the chance to appeal...........and who am I to turn down the opportunity to write yet another begging letter!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Pay day on Thursday plus I am due around £240 for a bank shift also on Thursday, and £140.99 on its way to my account from paypal. Changed my gas and electricity supplier yesterday (via Quidco of course after doing a comparison on moneysupermarket to find the biggest saving :money:), earned £55 cashback and based on my annual usage have saved £23 each month by d/d.

Also we are £93 in credit with our gas and £49 in credit with our electricity with our current supplier. Feeling like I have had quite a productive few days. Must update my totals :j - watch this space

Almost at the less than £20k mark - check out my signature!

And whilst the responsible person inside me realises this is still nothing to boast about, I am still a little bit happy :D
