Thanks guys - I thought you would have all long forgotten me!

Spent the day firing off 20 (yes 20!) sharp tongued and witty letters in my usual style. Basically I hear nothing about HBOS Visa other than to receive a monthly statement racking up the interest and charges.

Barclaycard have set Moorcroft on me, and I have unleashed my full glory on them. It will be a stalemate and one day they will eventually run out of departments to fob me off to (oops I mean debt collectors of course who just happen to work in or around the same building LOL!).

My Choice catalogue account which was £4k have coughed up that there is no valid cca despite the fact they duped me into signing one in 2007 4 years after I opened the account. They have not only said the matter is closed but also marked my credit file as settled ;).

Tried my hand writing a letter re: my AA Visa. It is now £400 over limit made up entirely of charges and interest accrued while I debated the validity of the cca. Anyway I've asked them to rejmove the charges and interest incurred since the account was disputed which would return the account to normal standing and allow me to resume payments. Will see what they say......

The rest are coming down slowly.

Hubbys salary changed from weekly to fortnightly and caused us a few dd declines which totalled £330, so I have written a very nice letter asking for them back - will wait and see...........

Hi Gargrave 50 - you're doing great there, well done.

    I haven't read through your whole thread - it's a long one.

Being in Scotland the same as me, I wondered if you'd looked into the possibilty if entering a DAS?

My DH has one and it stops any further charges to your account - so what you're paying off, no matter how big or small actually reduces the debt.

    Might be worth a thought.

    Well done though.

Thanks Ms Poohs I have actually arranged to stop interest and charges directly with my creditors on my own. Its working well with the majority. There are a couple of CCAs which just aren't worth the paper they are written on, so I'm trying to manage these by leaving them until the others are paid off and then making a F&F. Keep in touch! Read others experiences before entering into any kind of arrangement - the best people to approach are NON PROFIT debt charities. xx j

Well I am planning to pack of DS to my Aunties so that I can have a clearout of his toys to ebay!!!! They are some figures which have been lying unplayed with in his room for over a year and at the moment they are fetching around £4 each! Some other random items to list, lots of housework to do and a barrage of things to take to the post office! So far have made almost £190 on ebay this week and gained a lot of room! :D

Then packing up to head back to London tomorrow for 10 days, but back in time for my son's first day back at school!

Just renewed my brother in law's car insurance, saved him £11 a month and earned myself £50 via quidco!

More items listed on ebay today - not big earners but every little counts ;)

Still waiting for the postman :D

Thanks to all those who welcomed me back with open arms!

I am back in London doing 10 x 13 hour shifts straight (3 are "overtime" shifts = £900 after tax). so that I can go home for 10 days, so I will try to post every day. However, when I am not at home I can't get the mail to actually post whats going on!!!

Will try not to bore you all to death. I'm certain over the next 9 days I am bound to receive some form of threatening letter which will turn my husband into a quivering wreck, and he will phone me to tell me all about it and how he is convinced the next stop is the bailiff!

Nothing to report I'm afraid (according to my husband!). Not sure if I shared with you but my hubby had a run in with O2. I wrote a complaint letter as because he had upgraded online they had taken away his "loyalty bonus" and he was paying double for his mobile than what we expected. It has been going on for 6 months without us noticing (oops ;)). I wrote one of my famous letters. They have halved his line rental and refunded the difference in cost over the 6 months ;)
