Forgot to say I used one of these wonderful coin pay in machines at my local RBS branch. I'm in love........
Never again will I spend hours of my life I'll never get back - bagging up 1ps, 2ps etc. £11.38 to me - thank you;)LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

I was checking our A&L account for something else and came across an amount to Amazon for £47.97 which doesn't correspond to any of my orders - which can be seen coming off our RBS account separately. This amount is odd so I've queried it with them - wouldn't it be lovely if this was an error and I got it back?! The A&L card is registered as a payment method with Amazon but all the xmas shopping came off the RBS account - how strange. Hoping for a speedy response;)LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

I've done it - compiled a grovelling "offset" offer letter to HBOS re: the 2 current accounts

Dear Sirs,
Account numbers 00XXXXXX and 00XXXXXX
Sort code 80-XXXX
I refer to your letter of 23rd April 2010 received today regarding account number 00XXXXXX. Your correspondence refers to a default notice which you refer to as “issued”, however to date I have not received said notice.
You will be aware due to the conduct of my accounts that I have been experiencing extreme financial hardship for some time now. I wrote to you on 30th June 2009 requesting consideration for my outstanding claim under the hardship waiver (copy enclosed), and provided evidence to confirm my eligibility for hardship criteria. However, to date I have not yet received any response which is disappointing and has not assisted my financial difficulties.
You will therefore be aware that I currently have a pending reclaim for bank charges on the account number 00XXXXXX for the amount of £2929.00.
Under the present circumstances, I am proposing an opportunity to bring to a close all outstanding matters by offering to offset my claim against the amounts owed on both of the above-mentioned accounts. The balance of both accounts is made up primarily of charges and interest, and the total amounts which are actually owed are £699.25 and £500 respectively. This represents a total debt owed of £1199.25, which is only 40% of the amount of my total claim excluding interest.
By offsetting my outstanding claim against the total charges owed, this would allow the matter to come to a speedy and mutually acceptable conclusion. My financial circumstances have been analysed by a number of other financial institutions which have all agreed settlement in view of my proven financial hardship, during the specified period during which the charges were incurred.
I look forward to your urgent response within 14 days. If you are not prepared to accept this “offset” agreement, then please urgently provide the appropriate documentation for my claim to be considered under the hardship clause, and I will proceed with my reclaim for charges totalling £2929. I hope you will appreciate that by reaching an amicable agreement we could provide a speedy resolution for both Bank of Scotland and myself.
Yours faithfully,
If this actually works, I will need to give up praying to win the lottery as I will actually have used up enough miracles for one lifetime, but its worth a shot right?!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Well a speedy response I did receive:D. An email timed 1629 today tells me that this amount relates to membership benefits from Amazon Prime. I vaguely recall a free trial period of this ages ago, and clearly I've not done anything about cancelling this:mad:.
However the good news is that, as I've not used any of my membership benefits (not surprising given that I know nothing about said benefits!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:), they will be cancelling my membership and refunding the fee in full within 2-3 business days yay:jLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

My consumer pulse account has been closed, presumably because I've been too busy since January to log on
.
Gutted, thats £10 a month guaranteed House of Fraser vouchers gone. Think I'll email them with some excuse and see if they would consider reopening it - worth a try.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Have emailed Consumer Pulse (likely in vain):o.
Feel like I have had a very productive day - no outstanding letters to compose:j. But feel to keep up momentum its important to sign off each night with a "TO DO" list for the following day, so here goes for tomorrow:
1. Phone Butlins Bingo to have new card added for deposit and withdrawal for my free bingo wins. The existing card is an account I'm now fighting the cca on, so won't be using that one! Will tell them the account is closed and therefore no longer using the card, and ask them to add another payment card. It won't let you do this online, and I've been meaning to do this forever!!!!
2. Find my co-op dividend card and have receipt points added either online or by telephone:cool:.
3. Put bargain dress (M&S Autograph dress RRP £49.50 bought on ebay for £20 bnwt!!!) into seamstress to have taken in under the arms, for brother in laws engagement party.
4. List 10 ebay items
5. Book flight for 4th June to go back to London (nightmare because of BA intended strike action)
Nothing too intellectually demanding I realise, but its been a tough week!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
p.s, must also check whether I won the lottery tonightLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Hmm - wonder how many people fall for that next sign another agreement ploy. Surely most people who have requested a CCA (and not received one) would be clued up enough not to sign a new one, still they obviously felt it was worth the stamp.
Should have saved themselves that 35p:rotfl:
I could have put that 35p to very good use:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free
