Hi Gargrave, sorry to hear you have swine flu - how rotten. Rest up in bed and hope you are feeling better soon.

    Can't believe 2 things:

    1. I'm on page 3 on my very own thread yay! :j
    2. I have my very own band of wellwishers - thanks!:T

Well, still in quarantine! Aiming for another NSD (its not hard I have to say when you can't get outside!). Will spend the day on MSE I think. My lovely hubby is off this week and is taking DS to football training (free of course! :D), so peace perfect peace for a while.

Just heading off to check our bank accounts and see what state we are in!

Thanks angelflower. I've been busying myself with a mountain of washing so haven't had a chance to check our bank accounts yet, but I'm sure I can find a few p at least because you are right - it does all add up! Thanks for reading!

Hey all, I'm a stalwart now! Not a convert - my time has come! :j

Transferred £1 into my F&F pot. I've decided to make Next Directory my first target as the APR is shocking. Aiming to save around £350 to make a F&F on £1200 - awaiting to be laughed out of town.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Have just read your thread through Gargrave. You're doing really well, keep it up.

How are the spending diaries for you and your OH? Are you keeping them up?

Hope the swine flu' goes soon.

    Hi Verbatim,

The spending diaries have disappeared this week (stupid I know). I have nothing to write it them as I'm house bound, and my OH is on holiday for a week. My DS is going to a wee club each day which costs 50p and husband buys his daily paper each day. So far we haven't spent anything else. Husband took DS swimming, it was free for DS and only £1.10 for husband.

Maybe I am wrong, but thought it best to start them again on Monday when we are both (hopefully) back at work, and "normal" daily routine is back.

    Hi gargrave50,
It's great to see you really getting into money saving, well done.
My very best wishes to you. You sound like someone who given the help will be a great success.

Good Luck, keep up the great work.

Hi gfplux, just wanted to say thanks for your support and kind words:D

I'm trying really hard and couldn't have even taken the first step on sorting this without the lovely DFW people.

I could have carried on with my head in the sand, living beyond our means and increasing our debt. It feels great to be in "control". I'm getting there:T:T

Hey - just wanted to say you are giving great advice out to lots of posters today :T- a side benefit of being stuck indoors with swine flu.
I know I found helping others really helped me as well as I was thinking of things in a different way.

Hope OH is looking after you well if he is off from work.

Aaw thanks Tixy that's sweet. I'm trying to do some "pay back". There have been plenty of people eager to give me advice, and I'm grateful to you all.

Thought it was about time I started sharing my "experience" with others.

OH is avoiding me like the plague (can't blame him), which means peace perfect peace so I'm not complaining.:D
