  • Hey :) Just read your thread from start to finish. You seem to be doing really well, things have been tough in my household as we moved and in the kerfuffle of moving house and starting a new stressful full time job, completely forgot to pay both creditors. This has gone boobs up now as we were paying 50 a month (no pound sign on netbook sorry!) and with moving we don't have anything to pay. In process of trying to find email addresses to speak to them. Grr. Just as things were getting sorted I had to go and mess it up!!!

Good luck for your new job in October, I'd love to work in London! I've subscribed to this thread and will spend my week off work reading this :D

    Hi sillylittlejill,:hello:

Thanks for taking time to read the thread - thats a monster job!

Your encouragement is greatly appreciated. Who are your creditors? Have you settled into your new house and job? Its really stressful I know - I have all of that to come:D

Don't be disheartened and try to communicate in writing - its unlikely you will be able to get an email address which will get your a response for many, and I'd recommend sending good old snail mail.;)

Got loads of junk mail today (again). Must stop filling in my details on-line:p.

What I do if I am filling in things for freebies etc I always leave the last 2 letters off my surname, that way if and when I get junk through at least I know that its related to that (doesn't stop it coming but at least I can spot it easily).

Nowt from the postman, but just answered the phone...........nono.gif

A call from Gemma at the Directors Office of Littlewoods Shop Direct. I did a stinky complaint letter and copied in their Chief Exec at their office address - hoping some b*gger would action it. Gemma called to acknowledge my letter and to give me her contact details, and to say that they were taking the matter forward and would get a written response for me asap.dance2.gif

Whether or not this will prove fruitful who knows?

However, it has to be better than the toing and froing I've been doing with Littlewoods while I send my reduced payment offer and request interest/charges be frozen, while they send me letters back (or not:mad:) saying I've not made my minimum payment - and if I'm experiencing trouble making payment to contact them .......

    They are intuitive aren't they.............falldownlaugh.gif

Well done :jexcellent news J - sounds like you may be getting somewhere, did you get Gemma's contact details for future as well as giving her yours?

Thanks little angels, you can either start your own thread, or choose to start a diary in the DFW Diaries bit of the thread.

By making your money woes public, you feel even more motivated to tackle them. I have stuck my head in the sand for years (and years), but at last I'm tackling them and getting somewhere hopefully. Give it a try :)

No ramblings from me tonight, just preparing to head off for nightshift.

I am resolving to stay up in the morning until the post has been - that way I can enjoy my sleep:D

One small ramble before I have my dinner / breakfast?! (Weird this nightshift lark:confused:)

Just had a phone call from Littlewoods despite me asking them for all correspondence in writing and implicitly requesting not to discuss matters by telephone.

Asked me to confirm security - I said no thank you and explained that I choose not to discuss the matter by telephone. Explained I am entitled to request communication in any format I see fit. Natalie from Littlewoods tells me they will only discuss by telephone, and will simply send out a letter asking me to contact them by telephone.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

She also added the little nugget that they will be charging me for this letter - think I might share that with the Chief Exec................:D

Explained that it would be very nice of them to send me out that letter but useless, and that I will continue to respond in writing asking them to contact me in writing.

Around the merry go round one more time..............

Must check T&C's to see where and if it says they will charge me for each letter they send?
