So carried away with Barclaycard forgot to share with you all what the postman brought for me today.............
3 page Barclaycard letter in response to my "we are now in dispute" letter - the average person couldn't possibly understand this. Have posted it on CCA updates in the hope that Rog2 will come along and sort me out - AGAIN! Love you Rog2:kisses3:
The "contact us" letter from Littlewoods as per their phone call the other night where I refused to discuss the account by telephone - No thank you, awaiting response from my NBF Gemma in the Directors Office.:D
AA VISA credit card bill dated 25th June??????? Not a clue what this is about - oh and a nice overlimit fee. I have sent SAR to reclaim charges on this - they have until 26th August to reply.;)
Also a letter from Buchanan Clark & Wells providing a balance as requested on council tax arrears we currently repay at £10 or 12.25 each month. The outstanding amount is £333.72 - would it be cheeky to make a F&F on this?
And lastly - nothing to be with the postman. During a quiet half hour last night I went onto NHS website and found a post in Edinburgh for newly qualified midwives - closing date 25th August - so going to get an application filled in for this tooLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Thanks df - nice to have you along.
Littlewoods are the biggest pain in the backside, however hoping to get some joy from their Chief Exec's office. I plan to write to them outlining my right to choose how we communicate regarding the account, I'm sure I've read it somewhereLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Thanks for taking time to read the thread - thats a monster job!
Your encouragement is greatly appreciated. Who are your creditors? Have you settled into your new house and job? Its really stressful I know - I have all of that to come:D
Don't be disheartened and try to communicate in writing - its unlikely you will be able to get an email address which will get your a response for many, and I'd recommend sending good old snail mail.;)
ThanksI get quite addicted to reading diaries on here to be honest!
My creditors are mercers (barclaycard) and triton (natwest). I owe triton 307 pounds but they are refusing to accept any payments under the full amount. OH will put it on his credit card so that its all paid up and then I can give him the money without the pressure and threats of triton. Those guys are really mean!!
Trying to write letters but they tend to ignore mecan't afford to send them recorded either.
The house is slowly coming together apart from buying a 2nd hand freezer for 45 pounds that doesnt work and not having a wardrobe! My job is going well, very pressured and stressful but you can get a lot of commission if you do it well!
Going to send letters today and hope for the best
Did the postman bring you anything nice today?

Fingers crossed for the much nearer job Gar.
You are right you do have the right to choose how and where they communicate with you definatley - I'll see if I can find a legal bit to quote!
EDIT- Hmmmm can't seem to find that particular bit anywhere (especially as things are a bit different in Scotland)
This is sort of similar but doesn't include that particular line that you want in this instance

2nd Edit - Not sure if 2.2.g of this would help? I beleive you are covered by OFT guidance in Scotland? http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/consumer_credit/oft664.pdfA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Sorry, as soon as I posted that, I read your post about the 3 page letter from Barclays!
They are very difficult to deal with I have found. They usually just refuse to admit I have sent a letter to them!
Thanks for the support, look forward to hearing more about your job you start in October and your fight against your debt!!
