Made an appointment for Alan to make a Statutory Declaration with a Notary Public on Friday. It's all to do with his application for his electrical license. Apparently he needs to make one because some of the companies he used to work for have gone out of business and therefore he can't get references from them. So to "fill in the gaps" in his employment history he has to make a statutory declaration to state this.
It will cost us £20, and would be free with a Justice of the Peace, but they only offer appointments at 1.15pm each day for this, and that would mean hubby taking time off work (which would be unpaid). Thought it was better to pay the £20. Plus his boss is an @rse and probably wouldn't let him take time off.;)LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Hey it's been a while I know, seeing as my diary has been overtaken by Aussie talk. However, I thought seeing as I'm finally sorting out my debt letters again, I'd copy and paste some of my letters for your entertainment
.
First one is a response to Wescot re: an old HBoS credit card.

Dear Sirs,
WESCOT REFERENCE DM/XXXXXXXXXXX
CLIENT REFERENCE NUMBER 4560XXXXXXXXX
Thank you for your letter of 8th June 2012. I wish to point out that you refer to an “enclosed copy application as requested”.
Should you refer to my original written request, you will note that I have never requested a copy of the application form. I have however, on several occasions since 2009, requested and still await, a true copy of the executed Consumer Credit Agreement in respect of the above account.
I continue to await receipt of this. I trust I will not hear further from you until your client is able to provide the documentation I have been requesting for 3 years now. I have to date received 9 copies of the application form. The application form does not include the required prescribed terms to make it eligible to present as a Consumer Credit Agreement under the 1974 Act.
I enclose a copy of my letter of 28th February 2012, addressed to Wescot in response to the last time you sent me a further copy of the application form. I am not sure why you expected a different response when sending me the same document again.
Yours (so unsincerely its just not true)

As amusing as it would be for me, I think even that sort of cheek is beyond me:p. I reckon from the overall tone of the letter - they get my drift though.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Right all my debt letters are done. But alas no ebay or Gumtree done so far. Will try to sort that out this evening.
Just a few odds and ends to tie up before attempting some sort of evening meal.
