Hey all,
Just a quick pop in to say I'm alive and well and still money saving:money:.
Have 3 bank nightshifts starting tonight - hoping for a grand total of £600 from this to go straight into the Aussie pot.
Will be able to give a better update tomorrow night hopefully. Lots to juggle hence I haven't been on here (that and a technical headache trying to sort out my laptop:mad:).
Have a viewing on the house tonight for rental so have entrusted Alan to tidy up in a reasonable manner. Well not exactly trusted - he is under strict instruction to photograph every room and send it to me half an hour before the viewing so I can check it!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Also, a guy in Alan's work might want to buy the house:eek:. Lots going on, speak soon xxxLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

After years of careful and tentative training, my husband has finally grown a pair
.
A not so nice man came to our door this evening re: HBOS credit card, my husband kindly pointed out that the account was in default which is why payment hadn't been forthcoming. The man questioned "what do you mean?", and hubby was able to explain that HBoS hadn't been able to provide a true copy of the CCA. The man then left with a threatening little "good luck in court". Husband didn't wet his knickers, instead just smiled and said "let's wait and see how far they get first". I've finally educated him to some degree!LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Anyway, have a couple of letters to do over the next few nights. Another bank nightshift tonight
.
One to HMRC they won't accept hubby's self assessment (which he shouldn't be doing anyway:mad::mad::mad:). Have to write a letter pointing out that his tax relief has always been calculated on a number of miles travelled not in £!!!!! Therefore we can't fill out the stupid supplementary page they have sent us!!!!:mad::mad:
Never mind, have to stay on civilised terms with HMRC, as we are filling our P85's to claim back some of our tax allowance when we go:money:.
Forms are all complete - just have to wait for the P45s to come our way then they are all ready to go.
Having a really busy week, no chance to expand my novel and no reason to continue doing so as I have no idea (or time) to move things forward. Never mind, will eventually add some more. Usually best to do this when fuelled by vino blanco.
Have another bank nightshift booked for tomorrow night, and the ward is fairly quiet the last couple of days so hoping for more of the same, and some easy money.
Then 3 contracted hours nightshifts then home. One more commute to do before the final flight home.
Have worked it out. I am entitled to full pay and almost full shift allowance. Furthermore I will save on 2 return flights which are exceptionally pricey during July and adding up to around £400:eek:. Also have given the 28 day notice on my accommodation in London saving me the £425 for July meaning my salary will be a bit more. Also there is NO bank out for July quite literally. I may well pick up a couple of shifts here and there but it would be incredibly unlikely that I could fill all my gaps in the way that I have been. Overall I should actually work out better off by being "sick". Sorry to all those who hate the fact I'm doing this:o. The NHS have had 3 full years of hard slog from me with only one day off sick ever, meanwhile my colleagues all take the p!ss. I'm up for taking my turn. Apologies to all those offended.
It has many advantages for me:
1. Financially at least as well off if not better
2. I will be able to spend the entire school holidays with my child who has suffered from having a less than part-time Mum for at least 3 years.
3. I will have time to pack up the house, and sell the last of our belongings.
4. I can save all the money associated with living in London, and teach my family my frugal ways before leaving for Oz.
Anyway done trying to justify my actions, I'm happy with my decision:T.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Also forgot to update you on my many schemes
1. eBay is doing well - sold DS WWE game and arcade controller which goes with it for £30 (not yet paid - the guy is waiting on someone else paying him).
2. Haven't really been up to listing on Gumtree as I'm not in Glasgow at present to have bits collected. Plan to definately get stuck back into this when at home.
3. Someone has replied to my advert for Alan on Gumtree - so hopefully a little extra casual work coming his way.
4. Sold 2 pair of hubby's shorts for £31 and £29 respectively. Have listed my full quota of 10 items for the month of May now as a "new" ebayer. Waiting for the 1st June to get my next batch going!
5. Got £15 from the cash4clothes people who eventually picked up the bags from the house.
6. Sold my sideboard to my lovely friend in London who is going to arrange a courier to collect it from Glasgow.
And that's about it. Got £21 for an old Ralph Lauren beach bag. The eBay currently still running include the following :
ipod Touch with cracked screen currently at £41
Hubby's navy blue Lacoste windbreaker style jacket (lots of watchers)
Pair of short Hunter wellies UK 5 (lots of interest - festival time)
Hubby's G-Star jeans
Old Leg Magic exercise machine thingy
Pair of black skinny Oasis jeans
All seem to have a reasonable number of watchers and still 6 days to go with the exception of the ipod which finishes tomorrow I think.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free
