Hi,
Glad you had a nice day.
I can't believe that some people make it so hard to actually pay them! I had the same problem with Rossendales today . It's almost as though they don't want the money.

Rossendale's have a reputation for being utter !!!!!! though
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
I won't contradict you there Linda! The woman I spoke to wouldn't give me their bank details as their record has the account being in OH's name. She said she couldn't tell me anything about it and then kept trying to tell me why my OH needed to call them (he won't - in writing only with these sharks). I hung up on her when she started shouting at me!!!Ebay challenge 2010 - £525

Morning peeps:hello:,
They actually don't want our money - they want to take us to court it would seem
I'm hoping to send all my letters and copies of what they have sent me to OFT and FO with a complaint, regarding them being obstructive to my efforts to repay this debt.
Still waiting on the CCA to appear though:rolleyes:LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Well I :heartpuls the postman - doubt my husband will be pleased!
He brought me a very short letter from Barclaycard saying nothing much and enclosing T&Cs. They had promised to send "our CCA" under separate cover - I don't think they have one.
Never mind, I have already written to them stating the account is in dispute therefore I will stop making payments and pay this money into my F&F fund so that they can receive a very low F&F in around 6 months. Before I do this though I will have a peek around the forum to see what peoples experiences are like of Barclaycard.
However, the postman still didn't bring my £20 House of Fraser vouchers from Consumer Pulse, or my £10 John Lewis voucher from Ipsos. Still waiting on a cheque for £20.00 from click2pay too.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Hi gargrave
I have read through your diary from the first post (slow day at work) and just wanted to say that I've found the way in which you've kept plugging away at the companies you owe money to inspirational (and just a bit hilarious!)
I certainly wouldn't have had the cojones to make use of elected local officials, MPs and the like to help my case and it's an idea that a lot more people on these forums should try. Have any of them actually responded?
My GF has given serious thought to training as a midwife, although I worry that she may not enjoy it as she doesn't have a medical/care background at all! Where did you study?
Have subscribed and will try to keep up to date with you and Blue Jean's race
All the best, edinburgher (Glaswegian by birth, honest!)0 -
Double points - inspirational and funny!:p
No response from my MP yet, but being frugal I sent it second class!
I studied at Glasgow Caledonian, and I didn't have any medical/care background. I'm glad I've done it now although the course is a'lot harder than I may have initially thought! The bursary was very helpful (around £600 per month), and kept me going without getting further into debt. Its a hard course, but worth it in the end although the jobs situation isn't great in Scotland (hence most of my thread).
Thanks for subscribing, BJ seems to be ignoring my offer of a race! Must get on to her - I need the competition!:cool:LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

I'm sure the GF could cope (if she's nuts enough to go to uni for a 3rd timeShe's very bright and I have no doubt as to her abilities, just don't want her to end up in another job where she struggles to find employment in Scotland.
The central belt seems to be a bloomin' hard place to find work in anything even vaguely specialised. My first library job was a carpy summer post, after 30+ applications...
We're both librarians at the mo and moved to London last year for work (60% pay rises for the same jobs). Hoping to come back to Glasgow next year to settle down nearer to family and because I'd like to retrain as a chef and the courses cost 1/4 of the price in GGow!0
