Essay finished and printed in preparation for Friday :j
Next stage in CCA request letters sent to Barclaycard, Next and Shop Direct (Choice).

Sent a horrid letter to Littlewoods as they accepted my reduced payment of £20 then whopped on £24 in charges. Have copied the letter to their Chief Exec as I read on the forum that they at least received an acknowledgement when they did this.:wall:

Just about to bundle my paperwork for my shiney new job up and take my fat bum round to the post office to send it recorded delivery.;)

Also have a very nice letter to my MP re: parking bleedin ticket palava so will send that too and see if I get any joy.

Feels like it has been quite a productive day so far. Feel like I have lots more debt busting in me:think:.

    What to do next.............

Well I have received a response from Stirling Park - what do you all think?

We refer to your E-Mail message of today's date and note all you write. We write to inform you that we are unable to accept your offer of repayment at the rate of £1.00 per week. However, we are prepared to accept minimum instalments of £5.00 per week in order to clear this account. If we were to serve an Earnings Arrestment with your employer we would receive deductions of approximately £10.00 per week. The first payment of £5.00 per week is due no later than 27th August, 2009 using the payment card which has been sent to you under separate cover. Failure to maintain these payments may result in further Legal action being taken for recovery. Any such action will incur additional costs due by you. We trust this clarifies the matter for you.

    Any thoughts?

Can you afford £5 per week?
What's the total amount and how many weeks do they want you to pay this over?
get all of it in writing from them

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Morning gar

Can you afford £5.00 a week? In this case it might be better to accept defeat that they aren't going to accept you offer.

    Well done on your essay:T.

    Thanks Linda & BJ,

I can afford £5 a week I'm sure, I'll ebay and everything else to get some extra cash each week. Just really grudge them calling the shots, but it has to be better than arrestment, and if they go to my employer for an arrestment I'm in big trouble as my part-time salary comes from a bank :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hello all, managed a cheap day out with 3 boys - it would have been completely free had I not decided to treat them to an ice cream on the way home. £3.30 reasonably cheap day.

Received a reply to my CCA request from Next, it appears to have my signature on it however the rest is completely illegible. Sent a suitable reply.

Also received a letter from Lowell who are managing my Shop Direct account. Despite asking for payment details to commence my reduced payments 4 times, they still choose to ignore this. They said they are awaiting my CCA to be plucked from the archives and when it comes they want payment in full. Well, I think I'll refer them to the FO and OFT as they have obstructed all my efforts to begin making payment - will draft a letter tonight.

What did you do with the kids today? Good news about Next - maybe a F&F will be an option soon then:j.

    Hi BJ:hello:,

I took them to soccer camp (FREE), then fed them lunch, took them to Summerlee Heritage Park (FREE) and then to the park for 2 hours and bought each an ice cream xx Julie :T

I'm sure Next will come back gunning, and to be honest they were the first ones to respond to my self-admin DMP reduced payment offers - I might even have a soft spot for them....

Still would like to make a stingey F&F:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
