    Thanks all,

Some lovely comments yet again :D.

Sadly the "stash" isn't mine to enjoy - it will be going towards lots of bills for Oz. Never mind, lovely feeling being in the black! Haven't felt like this in such a long time!!!!

Looking forward to going home on Monday. Have lots of ebay parcels to post - debating whether to stay up this morning after nightshift to take them to the Post Office or just to make them wait til Monday!!!!

    Hi all

Just emptied my inbox of surveys, and actually managed to complete most of them! :D

Hubby hasn't mentioned a response from Wescot and rather than have him painfully drudge through our mountain of post, I will be patient and wait til I arrive home on Monday to find out for myself. Hopefully they have been good little morons and did what I asked them ;).

If so, I will start making the payments, and that will be the end of another debt. Then, I can make another stab at sorting out the 2 old HBOS overdrafts.

My NMC verification pack came through - so £34 to pay to send that off, which should finalise my Aussie registration as a Midwife :D.

Also, have a claim letter to get off for the collapse of Cashback Kings to claim my £54 from the liquidators. Quidco still has £100+ waiting to be confirmed for me.

Packaging up the ebay sales at work tonight - decided they could wait ;).

Still have £65 in Amazon credit to spend on Christmas presents. Hubby wants to go out Christmas shopping for Cole at the weekend, but I so like the look of my bank balance I'm reluctant!!!!

Never mind, we have £70 in John Lewis vouchers from the survey sites, so hoping to get a couple of perfumes and aftershaves for family with that. Good times :D.

Also have to fax off some ID to paypal, as apparently I've received over £1900 this year, and they need to make sure I'm not a nasty money launderer!!!! Will do that tonight also.

Still waiting on the $450 to come off my account for AHPRA to process my Aussie registration - I will cry when that happens :(. Only cos now I actually have money, I've become incredibly tight like my father in law.

Looking forward to seeing what other goodies await me on Monday, and still have 2 bank nightshifts due to be paid on Thursday - and its also monthly pay day then too!!!

And not to forget - I'll be preparing all week to do a car booty this weekend before I head south again for another 2 weeks slogging!

  • And I have finished....................

I spent last two nights reading this amazing diary..................started with a skint Scottish student and ended with a Midwife (love the way you chat about your 'London House' (out of context, it makes you sound loaded!) who is heading Down Under with money in the bank and a potential tv crew to chart the journey..................great!

I have learnt alot from this epic...................just about to start a DMP for £42k, having paid £20k in the last 18 months but been damned by hubby's reducing self employed income and increasing costs of living/existing!

I am not too sure how you are still alive given the hours you work............I too work for NHS and know there is no such thing as an easy life...............one quiet shift = 3 murder pictures round the corner. I salute your energy and determination.

What does £1.5k positive balance look like, only ever had a negative one!

    WELL DONE YOU!

£20k over 18 months is spectacular - that's amazing! DMP's are not fun, but do the job. Such courage to approach this head on - well done :D.

PS You make me sound amazing - should employ you as a life coach (but I'd be looking to get you cheap .............. like free!).
