I wouldn't say dishonest as i did in no way deliberately lie as that is not my nature, if i really thought it was still there then i would have been upfront but i genuinely thought it had finished when the ban finished

So you think a CRB check should be whether your dishonest or not.

Oh well then the !!!!!philes should all apply for jobs and not disclose it because they didnt think it would honestly matter any more as it happend 2 years ago

You were dishonest. You were asked to disclose your full criminal record and did not.

But the fact is you were dishonest, whether you did so intentionally or not!

You claim that the NHS is 'in ruins', yet you expect them to employ someone who is dishonest - can you not see the contradiction there?

This thread at least shows that in this instance the NHS is not in ruins, someone lied on their application form, they were found out, the crb chek did what it was supposed to do and decisive action was taken by the manager and the person dismissed. Its just a shame that these crb checks take so long to comeback

Does the application form say something like have you ever been disqualified from driving then the answer is yes, just because the fine was paid and its 3 years old it doesnt make it vital

It was an online electronic application, where you upload your cv, it asked about the child protection and vulnerable adults.....i can understand if it was a deliberate act to hide it, but it was not, i have never been in trouble in 41 years so i have no idea on the law or how long things stay on file, guess i should

Littlecat - Dont look for any sympathy from all the holier than thou's on here and the other two on the other thread you posted on. Just sign on, like me, and let these people who support a system that wants to punish you forever, keep you forever from thier taxes. I cant get work cos of a caution six years ago so now these people on here fund my benefits of more than a grand a month and will probably do so for the next 25 years. Ive spent most of yesterday and today sat in the sun replying to the other thread whilst that lot are stuck in a factory or office, so chill out, theres probably another 500,000 like me costing these medieval thinking types 6 BILLION a year in benefits:rotfl:Just a shame about all that wasted study as you will NEVER nurse, or probably work again

The point here is i did not know i had to disclose it as i thought it was an old ban that had finished with my ban, people seem to be assuming i was dishonest, when in actual fact in no way was i.......

No matter how many times you try and say this it wont hide the fact that all NHS applications in any form clearly ask you to disclose all criminal records.

What are you rambling on about?

The OP is an auxiliary, not a nurse, so your comment about wasted study is nonsense.

There is no reason why the OP would not find other work, as long as they declare this conviction in future applications.

Littlecat...the application would also have asked If you had ever had any convictions...you lied by ticking No

"I have never been in trouble in 41years" you mean apart from when you drove without insurance, and then again when you failed to turn up to court to answer the first charge?

You say that you could understand it if it "was a deliberate act to hide it"..how is your now ex-employer supposed to know that you did not mean to hide it?

I have to say no matter how bruised you feel now...you need to accept that you made a mistake and have to take the consequences, reflect on what you did wrong, learn from it and in future answer all questions truthfully although I fear it will be more difficult to get another job due to being sacked. When you go for another job you need to address this incident truthfully....and a word of advice do not go in to the interview with the attitue you are displaying here....you need to show that you have reflected and learnt from the incident and accept that this was your fault not theirs
