    Hi

I am finishing my nightclass next week and will be baking a celebratory cake!

I plan to cover with cooking chocolate, which in theory, should be less messy for transporting, but what can I use to write on the cake, as it seems pointless not to show off my new language skills!

I'd use icing, or melted white chocolate, either in a piping bag with a thin nozzle or one of those icing tools. Or you can buy writing icing tubes but I find them to be rubbish.

Didn't think about white chocolate, supposed I was thinking about having to use my icing set. Agree with you about the writing tubes, definitely a waste of money!

Anybody care to put this into units I can understand please :)

    3 T Flour
1/2 C milk (whole milk is best, but I used non-fat when it’s all I have and it’s actually fine)
    1/2 C real butter
1/2 C sugar (that’s granulated sugar, not powdered sugar)
1 t vanilla extract, or other flavor if you wish.

    EDIT**

Can't add the link as apparently as new user I can't post links - it's the link from Mrscraftys post above.

    Nutella for a quick solution.

I spread it on with knife so can't advise you about trying to pipe it.

I've just made a batch of cupcakes: vanilla and chocolate. The vanilla have glace icing on (icing sugar and water) and the chocs are covered in the Nutella. All then topped with 100' and 1000's and cherrys.:D

    3 tablespoons Flour
120ml milk (whole milk is best, but I used non-fat when it’s all I have and it’s actually fine)
    115g real butter
95g sugar (that’s granulated sugar, not powdered sugar)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, or other flavor if you wish.

Rough conversions, give or take a few ml/g. I hate cup measurements!

I'm in the middle of making a birthday cake and realised I have no icing sugar!! It's a chocolate cake and the filling was going to be chocolate butter cream.

I have tried to whizz up some sugar in the food processer but it's just not getting small enough

What can I use as the filling? No need for topping.

I have butter, cocoa powder, a very small amount of chocolate (about 30g), jam (which is plan b!)

    Help me pleeeaaasee!!!
