I often make flapjack in a round stoneware dish, it's always fine. I normally put greaseproof paper (or that re-usable non-stick stuff) in the bottom, but not always.0

I'm looking for a frosting for piping on to cupcakes but not all buttercream. I have tried a couple of fudge frosting recipes but they either set to quick to be piped or are a bit too rich.
Any ideas?Mum to 4 beautiful children

You could try just melting a bar of chocolate in a bowl and spreading it on the top of your cakes. Or do a ganache topping - warm double cream in a saucepan, add a bar of chocolate then take off the heat when the chocolate has melted. Beat it till smooth and let it stand until it cools and thickens enough to spread on top of the cakes without running down the sides. One life - your life - live it!0

I've used this chocolate cream cheese frosting recipe before, very tasty but not too sweet and easy to pipe.

My better half uses icing sugar etc but mixes the juice of a couple of lemons with it, I know no more than this about how she actually does it, but I do know that the sweetness of the icing sugar and the tartness of the lemon juice works wonderfully.
Thinking about it, its a couple of weeks since she has done it, hope she reads this post and it reminds her0 -

I think that it is Royal Icing that you are talking about - details of how to use it and a recipe here:

You could substitute some cocoa powder for icing sugar if you wanted chocolate icing.0
