Could you split it?
The realistic amount you could pay off in the 12 months on OH 0% card and rest on the longer deal?
Or half and half it? Seems good idea to nudge OH in right direction and make some of it solely it his responsibility.Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

I would put it on the longer deal myself as I agree with Z that we don't know what deals will be available in 12 months time.0

OH reluctant to have anything in his name. I was trying to discuss it with him the other night, and asking his opinion, and he said he couldn't contribute because I understand these things better than he does. I replied that that's only because he chooses not to understand them, his brain is as good as mine, probably better, and he can understand all manner of things that I can't.
Anyway, I don't think I got the job I went for - the chap said he hoped to appoint someone this week - BUT I have got two days a week freelance work for the next month at least. That fits very well with my reduced hours at my main job. I can't quite believe the felicity of the timing. It's at a better day rate than my job (tho without all the perks of employment of course) so I will explore if it could become more long term and I could drop the job.
Though the job is temporarily more appealing as I have agreed to go on a work trip to India in November, and have tacked a week's holiday onto it, so I get a free holiday. I'm very very happy about this unexpected treat.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
