    I am absolutely, completely gutted!

OH agreed to transfer the balance of my Nationwide card - £2,000 - onto his Santander card, at 0% for a year. We rang Santander and they said there is a new rule that they can't transfer a balance from a card in another person's name.

    AARGH!

I had pictured myself getting close to £20k. Instead I will have to transfer it onto my own Sainsbury's card at 2.95% for 24 months.

    Boo hoo.

I don't think OH is credit-worthy, with no income. But never mind. I've got over it.

Hope things are still going ok for you. How have the jobs ended up. Did OH manage to sell any more art work or was that just a flash in the pan? And the other thing was whether the house is all fixed now? Ie is it now sellable?

Hi all, thanks for the posts. I've transferred the balance onto my Sainsbury's card at 2.95% for two years. Verbatim, the Nationwide offer is good but unfortunately it was a Nationwide card I needed to transfer the balance from.

Things are very tight this month, as I took the children to a festival and spent a lot on food and train fares. But we had a lovely time. We're going to another this weekend, but at least the tickets are free and it won't be so expensive generally. But I've got a big bill from Barclaycard, I'd forgotten I used it to buy my train ticket last month. And still have to pay my council tax and train ticket this month.
