Thanks DC, its weird, DS is 7 now so I should be totally prepared for these kind of conversations lol
Anyway, i just completed my 1st months grocery challenge, and declared at just over £190...had initiall set a budget of £300 so I am very pleased...explains some of the excess too!
I have seen a lovely table in ikea, it folds down into a mini table when not being used and has drawers in the middle, its a wood one but untreated so I can paint it while to go with the other furniture in the living room. hehe, very exciting!
only 5 days to go! and im going to put the money on the cc before buying, in order to get the extra cc points. Its going well and I am pleasantly surprised with the progress. OH is coming around too, he actually signed up for some surveys the other day...he likes the idea of paying this place off asap and living the dream!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -

Exactly so itll be fine !
Also meant to ask, do you qualify for hardship to claim your bank charges back ? Would really help with your totals, its so annoying that this test case is taking foreverrrrrr.
I only have 1 to claim back, £35 id still rather have in my account than have in their accounts.0 -
I think I do prob qualify for hardship, as I used to regularly take cash out on the credit card and was in my overdraft consistently for about 2 years. although thats not the case now so Im not too sure any more!
They will come soon enough though...and i will enjoy every penny all the more!!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
I havent had a positive balance in my bank account in over 2 years, this month was the closest I have been to being at 0.
Why dont you have a look at the hardship stuff. You could pay off your overdraft or cc0 -
I think I'll do that! It would really help to be honest...Im worried in case i get offered something, take it, and then the test case comes through and I should have got more...would I automaticcaly get the right amount? I get confused easy lolPay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0

ah well...
Read this wee bit
While it looks likely the law will be resolved in reclaimers’ favour, that’s not 100% certain, so if cash now would be valuable your ultimate decision should be a combination of whether you want the hassle of continuing versus getting the cash. Accepting a partial amount does not mean you forgo rights to the rest though. The FSA waiver has an important clause saying:"if the outcome of the test case produces a result that is more favourable to the complainant, the firm must take all reasonable steps to pay any difference in the amount of compensation actually received by the complainant and that that the complainant would have been entitled if his claim has not been settled by the firm then;" Source: FSA WaiverIn plain English, this means if we win then you'll be able to ask for the remainder of your claim at the end of the Test Case and banks must make up the difference.
