Thanks YummyMommy
I know that I deserve the odd day off, but it feels weird sometimes!!
getting close to a redeem on surveys and one of the scratchies which is good, am going to review everything i list on ebay on dooyoo, 2 birds and all that!
I have been monitoring my payments (dunno if you remember me mentioning that to reach my goal of debt payment and savings, i have to pay £75 a day to do it) and my average so far this month is £69.
Bit lower than I am hoping for, and its going to get lower, cos the big payments are done!
Im due some mystery shopping money in the next few days on top of the £26 I got today, so that will help.
My one lowly listing on ebay is finishing today, need to list other stuff cos thats the best way to be making money just now!
I will pop back in later for another update!:pPay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
Hi Kirstenc
Still a really good average though acheived so far ! Well done with surveys and scratchies - I've yet to persue this, (when I get back off holiday - talk about procrastination) However I now have enought piggy point for my first voucher. This has taken month as I don't buy through this site.
Keep up the good work x:j:j:jThe past is over & done & cannot be changed. This is the only moment we can experience - Louise Hay"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."-- Buddha0 -
Thanks again Yummy, the surveys are a little tedious at times but some of them are really interesting...its when youve been sitting there for half an hour answering the same question about different brand, you wonder if the £1 is worth it!!
Im going to do a full update later in the week, its been really busy on the life front but quite unmoving on the MSE front!! xPay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
Quick update...its DS's birthday on thursday, not having a party this year due to the money issues, so we have explained to him and he has been really understanding (hes away to be 7). He even offered me his birthday money, which I declined but nearly cried at his kindness!!
Anyway, he has alot of allergies...wheat egg nut pulses, dairy and tomatoes (used to be intolerant to soya but hes tolerating small amounts now), and Birthdays and celebrations are typically a nightmare, many of the pre pepared 'free from' foods still have something in them that he cant, so I am giving it a go on my own...
Have taken some of the recipes from this site and adapted them to his needs (unfortunately increasing the price...this stuff aint cheap! and we are going to make him a birthday cake, his first one ever!!
we are also going to make some maetballs and hamburgers and little savoury things that normally he cant have, I am thinking that he will enjoy this more than having a kids party and not being able to eat the same as his friends, and not being able to run around with them like he wants to.:T
So we did the shopping for that yesterday and it wasnt too bad at all, we managed to get some good deals and I will update the grocery challenge with specifics later!
I have also just listed 10 books on green metropolis, they will help to boost my cash, and its a guaranteed amount which is good!
Really need to tidy up though, we usually pay my mum to do it (not alot tbh, but shes more skint than us, and too proud to ask for money, so we pay her to tidy while she babysits) but while shes in hospital, it has really gotten on top of us!
I want to get it sorted before she gets out though cos if she visits and thinks theres stuff to be done, shel do it whether shes well or not!!
The news on that front is that she should get home in the next few days but that she has narrowing of the colon (very bad case apparantly) and will need to have part of her colon and bowel removed in the near future. She will probably get home beforehand but cannot go to work, shes till in alot of pain, poor woman
anyways, sorry for the long post, will pop back tomorrow, hopefully after listing some stuff on ebay!!:DPay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
Im very confused, I have worked out that there will beover 1k left in the bank when we get paid at the end of next week...im very concerned that there is a bill that hasnt come out somewhere or that someone has paid us too much**
im going to keep running everything as normal until I figure it out
**I am also VERY excited in the hopes that I have managed to MSE 1k from being frugal!! That would do soooo much towards the OD...please let it not be a mistake!! You may well see me bouncing through the threads, or alternatively curled up in a corner blubbing about forgetting to pay something!!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -

You might just have been good enough that all your money savings have added up to a nice sum ! :j I hope so !0 -
Thanks very much to you both...I have my fingers crossed for a nice bit of debt busting at the end of the month!
I have been rattling my brains, I can hear them churning and i seriously think that the money is mine!!
WOHOOOOOOOOOOO!
I am so excited, and am making tiny little plans in my head I feel like a kid with a huge bag of sweets!! hehehehe!
Ill be back tomorrow to give a sane update cos just now im feeling loopy! xPay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
Oooo come back and tell us your plans
Id feel very sad tellin my pals about my excitement over debt busting but here is fine lol0 -
Claire, you're right, Im the same!!
my friends think Im crazy sometimes, as does the other half!! But i know that Im the sane one...its everyone else thats of their rockers for not debt busting!!
Im working on the basis that there will be £1000 in the account...may be a little more but lets not get too excited!...will bung £500 into the overdraft in order to do my debt a favour, and I have decided that the other £500 (or some of it) can go towards the TV that the OH is saving his well earned 'pocket money' for, plus I have been needing new paint and a new dining table for ages...the paintwork has been falling apart for about a year, and we have been eating off our knees since xmas!! While its not moneysaving, it is going to improve my attitude towards the house.
Anything left over will also go into the overdraft...
What Im really ecited about is the fact that I may actually pay of the OD by xmas, which is the target I have set myself...I can believe how much I have managed to not spend this month, it really makes a difference not taking the card with me to work and cooking meals rather than having takeaway and stuff!!
WOHOOOOO!!
Im rambling again, so ill stop lol
I will be back after work for a bit, to update the grocery challenge and to make a to do list for the next couple of days that I am off work (tomorrow is going to be baking and more baking!!)Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0
