Sorry forgot to say well done to everyone else who has lost, especially Lou - 25 miles walking in a week is impressive but I echo what someone else said about eating more syns. Might seem to go against the grain but if you are doing that much exercise you do need more fuel, have a word with your consultant and see what they say.

    My scales tell me lies:mad:

Which is why you should only get weighed once a week on the same scales.

Well done on the loss :T

    Hi all,

thank goodness for this thread i so need it, the opening post hit me, that a big chunk of my debt came about due to mad food shopping (had a long commute and stopped cooking) then had gall stones and lost loads of weight, but put loads back on when i could eat all the naughty stuff again. and to add it a bit more on - during my really bad 2008 (i had a nervous breakdown) i ate my way through a loaf a day

i have ended back up at 18 1/2 stone - i fluctuate a bit but im heading for my 40th birthday in 2010 and would like to lose 40lbs (almost 3 stone)

Im trying hard to work out my link between mood and eating, i have alot of good days but some bad days too :o

I have poly cystic ovarian syndrome - which for me is like insulin intolerance so i know high carbs are not good - sadly addicted to them - i have managed to loose 6 stone in the past and thankfully havent gone back up to my heaviest weight (23 stone)

sorry for the long post, but i guess by writing it down to admit i have a big problem with food and know i eat things that are not good for my body, also i know my portions are way too big.

I have dealt with so many things in my life recently, i really want to tackle this and reach the goal. im realisitc enough to know that getting below 14 stone will be almost impossible (my gp says i should aim for the 3 and get fit rather than aim for more weight loss)

so what have i started doing.

    I cook everytihng from scratch
stpped buying bread - my big downfall
walking - I have started walking in derbyshire every weke with my lovely friend from here so far have walked 12 miles in 2 walks. the plan is to do 1 long and 1 shorter walk on alternate weeks (average 40 miles a month)

    what i need help with

    encouragement and support

I have the knowledge and the tools, i have kinda got lost...i have even tried to imagine me wearing a smaller size..

    thanks for reading
