Dusty - time taken to do things - the kitchen is the longest time for me as it's so big. All those doors that need wiping down! If I have to do the windows too, it can take up an hour. But I do try and keep it topped up as it were during the week so it doesn't get too bad.

I always remember that when I had to have steroids (for asthma) when I was tiny my mum would put the pills inside a spoonful of jam. Would make it bearable. especially as I didn't like jam!!

Blimus - my house is a three bed semi with a BIG garden. Nothing too exciting but it is home :)

    Hi elf

My Tamiflu is capsules so i cant really taste them - I have heard that it is very bitter and you should try to put the powder into jam, ribena or maybe chocolate spread to disguise the taste a bit. OJ might work but I think the viscocity (thickness) of jam, ribena may suspend the powder more effectively than OJ - IYSWIM

    Me

Hmmmm dont know what else to try. I have mixed it with yog, rice pud and even ice cream with choc sauce but he still shudders and it makes him almost sick which is why I use the oj to wash it down. Hmmmmm need to get the thinking cap on......

Here we are, I hope to have the weekly and today's tasks done by the end of today too:

Magnificent Monday ~Crabby kitchen!: All done
Twinkly Tuesday ~ Living room, hall and Stairs: All done
Wednesday Woes ~ Master Bedroom & Landing: All done
Thursday Thrills ~ Bathroom, Cruddy study & Loos!!: All done
Friday finale! ~ Childrens roomies, spare room!: All done
New Weekly Challenge: 3 full and 1 half bit done
    (wk start Mon 13th July)
    2, 3, 5: done
    1. Check friends mail at least twice a week T Ö Th x Fr
    4. Start making more cards so some on ‘stand-by’ and also DS birthday thank you cards.
    MACAW: do physio/exercises (not too good last week!), M x, T Ö, W x, Th Ö, F Ö, Sa, Su
    Dailies: All done M, T, W, T, F (except 6)
    6. meal plan for next week

Next week I will not be following the set days as Pigpen posts, rather a dampened down version. This is largely as there is an event on next week in our town which me and DS will go to some parts of, also DH is off for part of that week and the next three after that. We are going on hols too, so time will be spent organsing for that and also trying to conserve energy/my back for the drive etc. Once we return from hols I will likely get back into Flylady proper.
Hope this makes sense and this is sort of what it will look like (for the twice weeklies days will be marked on for when done!).

    Dailies/Bi-weeklies etc (startig 20th July)
    Daily:
    1. feed cat.
    2. e-mails/surveys/finances.
    4. water plants.
    5. S and S kitchen.
    Every 2 days:
    5. WM, HO, HU, fold and put away
    Twice per week:
    1. S and S lounge and hall.
    2. S and S bedrooms, stairway and landing.
    3. Hoover downstairs.
    4. Hoover upstairs.
    5. Bins/recycling tub.
New weekly challenge (wk start 20th July):
    1. Start setting aside clothes for packing.
    2. Post ebay stuff if won.
    3. Sort through photos and put into albums.
    4. Take DS to events during ‘Shopping week’.
    5. Meal plan for rest of time before holidays.
MACAW: Play more with DS as he is growing up fast (perhaps make something!)
Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
Encouragement always works better than judgement.

Can you talk to him about seeing whether he can swallow the capsule whole (I don't know how big they are, so this may be unrealistic), and explain to him that this way he won't taste it?

Suppose i should switch off until the storm has passed... might leave my work stuff plugged in though, in the hope that it gets hit by a power surge :D

Thanks for all the comments, I read them as I was waiting for DP to go to the house. Toots you are also right, the less space will I think be a benefit especially the garden. As we're away so much we use it rarely and it's a days job a week to keep right. Inside the additional rooms utility/conservatory/garage just get filled with junk. DP has to make the biggest sacrifice having no garage but has chosen to have the cupboard under the stairs and will do his work on the dining table for now (might get a better shed at a later date)

    We signed yesterday afternoon :D:D:D

The savings in rent/water/council tax are well over £300 a month! Will cost me in diesel to get DS2 to school as we're keeping him at the school here for now so that will be 16 miles a day (4 miles away) but overall we'll be saving money. We're keeping the holidays, as I would get very litle done with 2 boys under my feet, DP will come back on weekends to do stuff (he'd better do it!!!) Matthew's parents helping too hopefully (they are so nice and said leave us the keys and we'll see what we get done before you come home) and we're keeping both houses on until end of September to allow us the time we need. It will cost money but I want the house right BEFORE we move in inc removing woodchip paper! We haddn't used the paints we bought for here yet so I only need backing paper, gloss and paint for DSs rooms.

Anyway thats my update for now, been messed about with the car they think there is something wrong with the diesel pump so can't have it before we go away. Need to tidy up and get packed today/tomorrow.

((hugs all round)) sorry not got time to read through the threads at the minute with so much on but I do appreciate your never failing support x x

elf06 wonder if the local childrens ward could help? They got my son to take tablets from 4 years old.

PS anyone know how I can find out who are the current gas/elec suppliers for the house??
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

Could he not swallow a capsule? All of mine could take tablets from quite a young age.

Greenbee - enjoy your storm - we've had more this year than I can remember.

Lil_me I am sure you have made the right decision - good luck with the move
