Thanks everyone. DH also had quite a bad tummy upset a few days ago - probably all inked I guess!
Dinner doing nicely, hopefully my roasties will turn out ok - there are too many in the tin really. I feel strangely nervous about DH's cousin coming - i'm out of practice with teenagers these days!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Washing is on the line... what's the betting that if I walk up to the shop both the washing and I will get rained on?!
Oh well, better get going. I need the exercise (and should get quite a bit of fresh air in this wind!)0 -
I have just woken up and still feel shattered - so i have decided that as I cannot sit here and look at the tip that masquerades as my LR - I will start doing the HHC's etc from the list in 10 min slots with breaks inbetween. I hope that I will have achieved at least something but still have not worked flat out - if that makes sense.
"My sis is just recovering from something fluey (she was quite pale last night). But the doc reckoned it wasn't swine flu as she didn't particularly have a fever. But then I wonder if people's immune systems are different and just because they've not got a fever doesn't mean to say their not fighting it."
I think you are right Soappie - if often states that these are the general symptoms including a fever - my normal temp is just about 35.5 degrees (under my armpit - can' do oral thermometers - if i am lucky and it went up to 37.8 so slightly raised for me but GP's dont see this as a raised temp - just normal therefore they don't think i have SF despite the other symptoms.
Anyway have taken my Armour tablets in the hope that these will help the energy levels and tried to declutter the mug of tea but am struggling with this. So will now try 10 mins starting the process of clearing the sofa which is loaded.

Back from dropping DS2 and popping into Mr T - more expensive than I'd planned.
It is windy here with the odd passing short shower - I might do an hour outside in a bitHe is worried he can't take a week off work as he has the audit to prepare for which is in 2 weeks. we have his 16 year old cousin coming for lunch and it's too late to cancel him. I'll open lots of windows!
Rach I'm sorry your OH is unwell but I completely disagree with this sort of attitude. The reason bugs get passed around so much is because rather than miss a couple of days of work people go in regardless. If your OH passes it on to a colleague who lives with somebody say on chemo it could be curtains for that poor soul. If he could not go into work for a couple of days (say he'd had a car smash and was in hospital) the audit would get done without him. I don't mean to offend either of you but please think about whether or not he should go in.***stamps foot***
Read the 'thinking about changes' thread - well skimmed it - what they need to do, if they don't like us thanking is give us a 'bookmark' button so that we can locate exactly where we are because, frankly, I find the 'view first unread' does NOT always take me where it should.
Valli - sorry but I'm disagreeing with you now. I think the thanks button should be used because somebody has made a post which is either useful, supports a good argument, is funny, whatever but made you appreciate it. Not as a bookmark system. A pen and paper to write down the page/post you are on serves just aswell. Thanks on this forum are often worthless and do not help you evaluate say on the savings thread if the person has posted good info before or not. I also think that you should be able to go back and unthank a post if you thought it was a good deal but proved not to be.
I'm not even in a grumpy mood!
