don't worry I'm not hyping it up with DH. He is showing lots of the symptoms but we'll see how it goes. He says it feels similar though not as bad as when he had proper flu a few years ago. To be honest given that we both travel on several different packed methods of public transport every day I'd be surprised if one of us didn't get it! I've told him he's not going to work if he's not better tomorrow. Hopefully his mum can lend a thermometer as boots have sold out.

My mum is a nurse who now runs all the community care teams in her area so she's a good source of info and advice!!

chicken is smelling lovely, all veg prepped. time for me to clean the bathroom and shower.

Thanks for the info greenbee Your info is more detailed than the government leaflet. My GP says I may have already had it when I had that horrible virus with the upset tum. I do hope that was it and I don't get anything else.
rach I hope your DH is okay

My DH has vacuumed the whole of the downstairs, fed all the animals and hens, I just need him to go to the co-op for a chicken for dinner.

Toots, it is horrible being kept awake like that. I hope you get some rest today.

pen pen Our camping family decided not to even pitch their tents and came home so no wet tents today. They were flooded out last time they went so had a look at the site then came home. Scouts can't do that :(

  • So, it didn't turn out to be an hour after all because as soon as I had started cleaning out the chickens it started pouring down so I need to go out again as soon as it stops to give them fresh straw.
I did manage to finish the oven and have started on another load of filing.
If the weekly challenge next week is five jobs again, I'm going to have to take clean out shed and wash car off the list again as the rain keeps stopping these jobs!

Rach - hope DH recovers quickly. My sis is just recovering from something fluey (she was quite pale last night). But the doc reckoned it wasn't swine flu as she didn't particularly have a fever. But then I wonder if people's immune systems are different and just because they've not got a fever doesn't mean to say their not fighting it. She's a head teacher and lives in London so is quite exposed really.

Read the 'thinking about changes' thread - well skimmed it - what they need to do, if they don't like us thanking is give us a 'bookmark' button so that we can locate exactly where we are because, frankly, I find the 'view first unread' does NOT always take me where it should.

He's only talking about the non-MSE threads like the arms and discussion time.... and we're not like those other nasty, nasty threads out there!
:mad:I knew I was taking a small risk putting washing out, but the sun had been shining and the black clouds were moving away.
Looked up from 'puter and saw raindrops on window. So mad dash to rescue first load:mad:

I'm living life on the edge here Crafty. It's sunny occasionally and very blowly so I washed my bedding. It's flapping really well in the breeze and I'm hoping it'll dry before the evil rain the met office are warning about turns up!

Just spent the last hour or so going through my jewellery box. It's all sorted and tidy now.

Woop Woop ALL DONE!!! Well at least all that applies is done :D
Dont actually know if it counts or not but the day out for next week we kind of did today. Decided to go out for a little drive as we have been indoors since Wed and are now both feeling a lot better. First we went to see some lovely little piglets at a work collegues farm and then took a detour home and stopped at a little country wild fowl park to feed some ducks and birds :p Love doing these simple little things with DS and they dont cost much (the pigs were free and the bird place cost £3.20 inc food for birds).

Big thanks to everyone who wished my DS better and asked after him. Swine flu is now banished from our home - well 2 more doses of Tamiflu and it will be. Big hugs to everyone else who is suffering xxx

Edit to say - got the 5 things sorted for selling and pics taken just not actually put on yet :o

    Hi all,

I;ve done the dining room, the floor was filthy:eek:. I tidied up, wiped all the paintwork, dusted, cleaned the window and mirror and hoovered and mopped.

I'm waiting for the floor to dry and then i'll put all the furniture back.

OH wants me to go jacket shopping with him, he's worse than a woman;) so i'd better get changed and sorted.
